Revoking the Certificate of "Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics" of Doan Di Bang Advertising Company

Regarding the violations of EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company, the Drug Administration (Ministry of Health) has just decided to revoke the Certificate of “Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics” for this company. The sunscreen, shampoo, and conditioner products produced by this factory were widely advertised by singer Doan Di Bang on social networks.

According to the Department of Drug Administration, the unit has issued a notice to revoke the Certificate of "Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics" No. 53/GCN-QLD issued on January 21, 2025, issued together with Decision No. 53/QD-QLD dated January 21, 2025 of the Director of the Department of Drug Administration on granting the Certificate of compliance with the principles and standards of "Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics" of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (CGMP-ASEAN) to EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company (Road No. 6, Giang Dien Industrial Park, Giang Dien Commune, Trang Bom District, Dong Nai Province).

The reason for the recall was determined to be non-compliance with the principles and standards of “Good Manufacturing Practice for Cosmetics” of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (CGMP-ASEAN).

The Drug Administration of Vietnam assigned the Department of Health of Dong Nai province to review and inspect the conditions for cosmetic production to revoke the Certificate of Eligibility for Cosmetic Production No. 24/CNĐĐKSXMP-ĐN issued on January 10, 2025 for EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company according to regulations.

At the same time, it is requested that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health and the Dong Nai Province Department of Health implement measures to manage and supervise cosmetic products manufactured before the date the facility's Certificate of Eligibility for Cosmetic Production was revoked; and handle violations according to regulations.

Data from the National Business Registration Portal, VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited was established in 2021, the legal representative is Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vu, husband of singer and businessman Doan Di Bang.

Previously, the Drug Administration of Vietnam also issued a decision to temporarily suspend reviewing and receiving cosmetic product declaration dossiers for VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited for a period of 6 months from May 27.

The application for issuance of a cosmetic product declaration receipt number by VB Group Trading and Service Company Limited submitted before the date of issuance of this document will no longer be valid.

Previously, on May 27, the Department of Health of Dong Nai province sent a dispatch to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to report on the progress of handling the case of cosmetic products with signs of counterfeit goods related to EBC Dong Nai Medical Factory Joint Stock Company. At the same time, it requested to transfer the case file with signs of violations to the police agency.
