Top scorer of Nghe An High School 10th grade exam scored 29.25 points

(Dan Tri) - The valedictorian of Nghe An's 10th grade class in 2025 scored 29.25 points. The whole province had nearly 40,000 candidates taking the exam, of which more than 400 students scored 27 points or more. Below is the list of the 200 candidates with the highest scores.

Nghe An Department of Education and Training has announced the results of the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year. Nearly 40,000 candidates registered to take the exam at 69 public high schools across the province.

The top scorer of this year's exam scored 29.25 points. Specifically, this candidate scored 9.5 points in literature, 10 points in English and 9.75 points in math.

The runner-up scored 29 points, with 9.5 points in literature, 9.75 points in English and 9.75 points in math.

According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, this year's score distribution is quite high. Of which, 2 candidates scored 28.75 points; 10 candidates scored 28.5 points; 10 candidates scored 28.25 points; nearly 30 candidates scored 28 points; 401 candidates scored 27 points or more.

The high scores were recorded evenly across districts, towns and cities, showing the uniformity in student quality across regions. Vinh City continued to be the leading locality with hundreds of students scoring 26 points or more.

In 2025, the total number of candidates taking the exam will decrease by about 4,000 compared to 2024, but the enrollment quota of public schools will not increase.

Nghe An Department of Education and Training is expected to announce the admission scores for grade 10 public high schools on June 25-30. After receiving the admission scores, candidates need to quickly complete the admission procedures according to the instructions of the school they are admitted to.
