Nghe An: Economic center of the North Central region

With its strategic geographical location, rich resources and abundant human resources, Nghe An is gradually affirming its role as the economic center of the North Central region - one of the driving forces for economic development of the whole country.

The transport infrastructure system of sea, river, air, rail and road has also shaped the economic strength of the province, attracting the leading FDI in the country. Cua Lo seaport and Vinh airport are being upgraded to meet the increasing demand for freight and passenger transport. This not only helps Nghe An become an important logistics center but also creates conditions for businesses in the region to easily access international markets. To date, many sections of the North-South expressway have been opened to traffic, shortening the time connecting Nghe An and the provinces of the Northern key economic region, especially to the capital Hanoi, to only about 3.5 hours.
