Prime Minister visits Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Lam Dong

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested Lam Dong provincial authorities to continue to care for the material and spiritual lives of families with meritorious services to the revolution, demonstrating the nation's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source".

On the morning of August 25, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh led a delegation from the Central Government to visit and present gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Thung in Ward 9, Da Lat City. The delegation was accompanied by Politburo member, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang and leaders of central departments, ministries and branches; on Lam Dong province's side, there was the participation of Acting Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thai Hoc; new Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hong Thai. Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Thung (88 years old) has a husband and a son who are martyrs. Currently, Heroic Vietnamese Mother Tran Thi Thung is living with her son. Upon arrival, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh kindly asked about her health, life and encouraged her spirit. The Prime Minister expressed his deep gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of Mother Thung and her family to the country's revolutionary cause. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the Party, State and people always remember the contributions and sacrifices of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and the great merits that generations of fathers and brothers have devoted and sacrificed in the resistance wars for independence and freedom for the Fatherland. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the authorities of Lam Dong province and Da Lat city to continue to pay attention to and take care of the material and spiritual life of families with meritorious services to the revolution, demonstrating the nation's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source". On the same morning, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the Uncle Ho shrine at the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Office on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024).
