Prime Minister reprimands Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed the Prime Minister's decision to discipline Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee.

The decision clearly stated that Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, was disciplined in the form of a reprimand for his violations and shortcomings in his work, and the Central Inspection Commission had taken party discipline.

The disciplinary period is from the announcement of Decision No. 1797 dated November 8, 2024 of the Central Inspection Commission. The decision takes effect from December 11.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee.

On October 28 and 29, 2024, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Commission held its 49th meeting to review and propose disciplinary action against many Party organizations and Party members who violated the law.

Specifically, at the meeting, after reviewing the inspection results when there were signs of violations and the review results, proposing disciplinary action against the Party Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, the Central Inspection Committee found that the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee for the terms 2016-2021, 2021-2026 violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations.

Lack of responsibility, lax leadership and direction allowed the Provincial People's Committee and many organizations and individuals to violate Party regulations and State laws in organizing the implementation of the Ho Chi Minh road construction investment project, the eastern bypass section of Buon Ma Thuot city; and in implementing a number of solar and wind power projects.

Some cadres and party members, including key cadres of the province, violated Party regulations and State laws on preventing and combating corruption and negativity, and violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.

Personal responsibility for the above violations and shortcomings belongs to Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and a number of other officials.

Considering the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to discipline Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha with a reprimand.
