Early morning on October 26 (local time), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to begin a working trip to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit and related conferences (October 25-28).
The visit was made at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, ASEAN Chair 2025.

During his three-day stay in Kuala Lumpur, the Prime Minister is expected to attend and deliver a speech at meetings within the framework of the 47th ASEAN Summit; attend the ASEAN Awards ceremony and the signing ceremony of the Declaration on the admission of Timor-Leste into ASEAN; and attend ASEAN summits with partners from the US, China, India, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and the United Nations.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will co-chair the 13th Mekong-Japan Summit; attend the 3rd Zero Net Emissions Asia Community Leaders' Meeting, the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, the 28th ASEAN + 3 Summit, the 19th East Asia Summit (EAS), the 5th RCEP Summit, etc.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister had bilateral meetings with leaders of countries and international organizations attending the conference and many other important activities.

At the 47th ASEAN Summit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of the countries will assess the results of ASEAN cooperation in 2025 under the theme "Inclusive and Sustainable", and orient the building of the ASEAN Community in the coming time, especially on the basis of building a roadmap and prioritizing the implementation of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and strategic plans on politics - security, economics, culture - society and connectivity.
At the same time, the effectiveness of ASEAN-led mechanisms will be enhanced, ASEAN's foreign relations will be substantive; ASEAN's central role will be strengthened and promoted, and international and regional issues of common concern will be discussed. In particular, on this occasion, the leaders of the countries will sign the Declaration on the Admission of Timor-Leste to ASEAN.

This morning, October 26, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim - the 2025 ASEAN Chair - chaired the welcoming ceremony for heads of delegations attending the 47th ASEAN Summit and related summits.
Leaders of ASEAN countries include: King of Brunei; Presidents of Indonesia, Philippines, Timor Leste, Brazil, South Africa; Prime Ministers of Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Canada; President of the European Council, Secretary General of the United Nations.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh led the Vietnamese delegation to the conference. Immediately after the welcoming ceremony, the Prime Minister and leaders attended the opening session of the 47th ASEAN Summit, the ASEAN Awards Ceremony and the signing ceremony of the Declaration on the Admission of Timor-Leste to ASEAN; and the high-level dialogue session of the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit.
