On October 9, at the Yen Mo District Cultural Center, the Provincial Veterans Association (CCB) Standing Committee held a dialogue conference with the Association of Veterans at all levels in Yen Mo district.
Attending the dialogue were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Department of Home Affairs, Provincial Military Command, Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Yen Mo district...
With a democratic and frank spirit, at the dialogue session, cadres of the Association of War Veterans at all levels of Yen Mo district raised many opinions related to groups of issues: Organization and construction of the Association of War Veterans, activities of the Association of War Veterans; policies of the Party, State, and province related to the rights of war veterans; and reward work.
The focus is: considering the wishes to join the Veterans Association of a number of comrades who directly participated in combat and served in combat after returning to their localities, and have enjoyed the regime according to Decision No. 62/2011/QD - TTg. Paying attention to creating conditions for Veterans Association members who are former soldiers to enjoy health insurance regime. Considering supplementing regular operating budget to support the cost of military flag-covering ceremony for deceased Veterans Association members.

War veterans association members in Yen Mo district also wish to be examined and assessed for Agent Orange; and have their injuries re-assessed. Consider the proposal to increase the allowance for comrades holding the position of Branch President from 0.15 to 0.2 - 0.3. Consider and resolve procedures for awarding the Glorious Soldier Medal, the Military Exploit Medal, the Anti-American Resistance Medal... to eligible subjects.
At the dialogue session, the opinions and recommendations of the delegates of the Association of War Veterans at all levels in Yen Mo district were received, discussed and clarified by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Association of War Veterans and representatives of the provincial departments, branches and sectors; for contents not under the authority, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Association of War Veterans received and synthesized them to report to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.
Through the dialogue, the provincial and all levels of the Association of War Veterans aims to help the Association of War Veterans at all levels and sectors grasp the thoughts and aspirations, promptly resolve the recommendations of War Veterans Association members in Yen Mo district. At the same time, it helps cadres and members of War Veterans Associations at all levels to better understand the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's and the province's policies and laws on war veterans and war veteran work.
