Trung Son Hydropower Plant is ready for peak mobilization in the 2025 dry season

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - Faced with increasingly complex weather conditions and high electricity demand in the 2025 dry season, Trung Son Hydropower Company Limited (TSHPCo) has proactively deployed many technical solutions and organized effective operations, ready to mobilize maximum capacity of generators, ensuring stable electricity supply to the national system.

Since the end of 2024, TSHPCo has carried out reasonable water storage, combined with periodic inspections and comprehensive maintenance of generators. In the first months of 2025, water regulation and plant operation activities have been flexibly implemented according to optimal plans, suitable for actual water flow. Thanks to that, important economic and technical indicators such as availability coefficient, self-consumption electricity rate, failure rate, and maintenance shutdown rate have all met the set plan. Power production activities have been maintained stably, safely and effectively, contributing positively to the task of ensuring electricity supply.

In addition to operation, equipment repair and maintenance work is always focused on and completed ahead of schedule. Before the 2025 flood season, the company completed a comprehensive inspection of generators H1, H2, H3 and H4, ensuring that the generators operate safely and stably, fully meeting the mobilization methods of the National Power System and Electricity Market Operation Company Limited. This contributes to improving the reliability and stability of the power system, especially during the peak months of the dry season and is ready for high exploitation in the upcoming rainy season.

Not only focusing on electricity production, Trung Son Hydropower Plant also performs well in water discharge operations, strictly following the inter-reservoir operation process in the Ma River basin. Reasonable flow regulation not only ensures water supply for domestic use and agricultural production in the downstream area, but also creates favorable conditions for crop restructuring, sustainable agricultural development, environmental protection and natural disaster prevention. The Company has also closely coordinated with local authorities and related units to improve the efficiency of water resource exploitation, ensuring harmony between economic and environmental goals.
