Billionaire with assets worth 9,000 billion VND officially approved for professor title

TPO - Associate Professor Dr. Ho Xuan Nang is one of 71 professor candidates in 2025 voted and approved by the State Council of Professors at the recent 4th meeting.

Today, the State Council of Professors officially announced the list of candidates for professor and associate professor in 2025 (passed by the Council on the website). Accordingly, there are 71 professor candidates and 829 associate professor candidates. The number of candidates who failed in the final round is 11 (including 2 professor candidates and 9 associate professor candidates).

Associate Professor Ho Xuan Nang has just been approved by the State Council of Professors to hold the title of professor.

Two failed professor candidates came from the fields of Mechanics - Dynamics and Philosophy - Sociology - Political Science . Nine failed associate professor candidates included: 1 candidate from the field of Animal Husbandry - Veterinary Medicine - Aquaculture; 1 candidate from the field of Educational Sciences; 2 candidates from the field of Economics; 1 candidate from the field of Languages; 1 candidate from the field of Philosophy - Sociology - Political Science; 3 candidates from the field of Medicine.

Associate Professor Dr. Ho Xuan Nang, Chairman of the Board of Phenikaa University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vicostone Joint Stock Company, is known to own assets worth about 9,000 billion VND.

He is one of three people voted by the State Council of Professors to pass the standard of professor in Mechanical Engineering - Dynamics.

In his application, he stated that he had 18 years and 3 months of undergraduate and graduate training.

By June 30, Associate Professor Ho Xuan Nang had published 109 scientific articles, including 55 scientific articles in prestigious international journals and 14 scientific reports published in conference proceedings listed in the Scopus index (a list of world-famous journals), and was the main author of 22 prestigious international articles (after being recognized and appointed as an associate professor).

In particular, he has been granted 14 patents and 5 utility solution patents, of which he is the main author of 12 inventions/GPHI after being recognized/appointed as associate professor, has transferred 2 inventions into large-scale industrial production, and 4 inventions/GPHI have been commercialized.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Tran Anh Tuan, Chief of Office of the State Council of Professors,

Within 15 days, if there is no petition or complaint, the Chairman of the State Council of Professors will sign a decision to recognize the qualifications for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025.
