The ecosystem comprises a range of digital solutions and applications for comprehensive digital transformation in the healthcare industry.
The project "Digital Transformation Ecosystem in the Healthcare Industry," developed by elSAGA Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company, was highly praised by the judging panel of the "Gov.Star 2024" (Searching for Innovative Solutions in the Public Sector 2024) competition for its potential application and its ability to partially address existing challenges in Vietnam's healthcare sector.
The ecosystem comprises a range of digital solutions and comprehensive digital transformation applications in the healthcare industry, such as: facility management software systems, healthcare applications, telemedicine, electronic medical records, centralized appointment scheduling systems, online drug purchasing, management and operational software, and incident reporting systems.
The applications integrated into the system will accelerate digital transformation in the healthcare sector, making it more convenient and developing solutions through mobile devices.
Mr. Hoang Nhat Minh, CEO of elSAGA Technology Solutions Joint Stock Company, said that with this system, management agencies will be able to quickly access information and operational status of hospitals. In addition, the system helps reduce the workload for medical staff thanks to a range of applications such as multi-platform patient record management and access to AI-based analytical information.
Furthermore, through mobile application modules, patients can easily manage and share medical records, laboratory results, and medical history with hospitals, interact with medical staff through online consultation channels, and manage appointment and follow-up schedules.
Since the beginning of 2019, the project has been implemented in 8 hospitals in Vietnam (An Viet Hospital, Vinh Phuc Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Quang Ninh General Hospital, Viet Duc Hospital, Hanoi Andrology and Infertility Hospital, etc.); providing more than 20 software modules and application solutions such as: multi-channel appointment booking system (BHR), electronic health record system (PHR), customer care call center system, internal call center, doctor application system, etc.
"In the future, we will continue to add new software modules tailored to each medical facility, optimizing usability for widespread deployment to medical facilities in Vietnam, with the goal of developing 15-20 new hospitals per year," Mr. Hoang Nhat Minh shared.
According to the Ministry of Health 's requirements, by 2025, all Grade 1 hospitals in Vietnam must implement Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and by 2027, Grade 2 and 3 hospitals must also implement it.
In Ho Chi Minh City alone, only 3 out of 115 hospitals currently use electronic medical records: University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital (Campus 1), Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital, and City Children's Hospital.
