Received more than 1.7 billion VND in scholarships for students in difficult circumstances

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province has just issued a Decision approving the receipt of non-refundable aid not included in the official non-project support for theEducation and Skills Development Scholarship Program in Thua Thien Hue sponsored by the Pacific Arms Organization (USA), worth more than 1.7 billion VND.

The project aims to support scholarships for disadvantaged students to reduce the risk of dropping out of school and improve the quality of their studies; provide advice on necessary life skills, guide English learning skills online and raise awareness of protecting themselves from the risks of human trafficking for project participants; provide financial support for a number of outstanding students to participate in summer camps and advanced English courses.

Accordingly, through the above project, the Pacific Circle Organization (USA) will support the awarding of 202 scholarships and rewards to 144 students.

Including: 38 secondary school students; 86 scholarships for high school students; 20 scholarships for Thua Thien Hue students currently enrolled in universities nationwide; 6 scholarships for students in difficult circumstances, 19 awards for students with high achievements, 25 other scholarships for summer English, summer camps, 4 English courses for students and 4 laptops for 4 students.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province assigned the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education to receive and organize the implementation of non-projects according to regulations.
