On the afternoon of October 23, 2025, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet and Provincial People's Committee Chairman Nguyen Van Ut chaired a working session with provincial departments, branches and sectors on border management, border marker system and border gates in the province. Overview of the working session

According to the report of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Tay Ninh province after the merger has a border of about 369km, adjacent to 03 provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia (Svay Rieng 232.7km; Tboung Khmum 101.6km; Prey Veng 34.2km); the entire border of the province has been demarcated to date 83.57%. In the past time, the situation on the border has been basically stable; The province has proactively directed functional branches, especially the armed forces, health, foreign affairs units, etc. to coordinate and effectively implement state management of borders and territories. At the same time, continue to direct local border functional departments and branches to coordinate and effectively implement cooperation agreements of the border provinces of Svay Rieng, Prey Veng and Tboung Khmum, contributing to building a stable, peaceful , friendly, cooperative border for mutual development. In the internal border, Tay Ninh has 19 border communes; Political security, rural security and social order and safety, especially after the merger, are basically stable, with no complicated incidents or "hot" areas.

Regarding border gate work, on the Tay Ninh border line there are currently 04 international border gates (Moc Bai - Ba Vet International Border Gate; Xa Mat - Trapeang Phlong International Border Gate; Tan Nam - Meun Chey International Border Gate; Binh Hiep - Prey Vor International Border Gate); 04 main border gates (Ca Tum - Chan Mul Border Gate; Chang Riec - Dar Border Gate; Phuoc Tan - Bos Mon Border Gate; My Quy Tay - Sam Raong Border Gate). Besides, on the border line of the province there are 13 secondary border gates (Tong Le Chan, Cay Go, Vac Sa, Tan Phu, Vam Trang Trau, Ta Nong, Long Phuoc, Long Thuan, Phuoc Chi, Cay Me Hung Dien A, Long Khot, Tan Hung and many border trails. The infrastructure of the border gate area is interested, regularly invested and upgraded, especially specialized professional equipment serving the work of border gate management and immigration control.

In recent times, trade activities through the Tay Ninh and Cambodia border gates have been bustling, with impressive bilateral trade growth in recent years. The functional forces at the border gates of Vietnam and Cambodia have closely coordinated to facilitate customs clearance of goods, entry and exit for people and vehicles crossing the border; at the same time, regularly organize friendly exchange activities and coordinate to ensure security and order, and protect border sovereignty .

At the meeting, departments, branches and sectors reported on the planning situation and approval of detailed planning of border gates according to the roadmap prescribed in Decision No. 1200/QD-TTg dated October 14, 2023 of the Prime Minister approving the planning of border gates on the Vietnam - Cambodia land border for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. The situation of upgrading and managing the connecting traffic system, border patrol roads; the situation of border trade development and planning for investment in construction, upgrading and development of border gate pairs; the situation of land and environmental management after demarcation along the entire border.

Concluding the working session, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet acknowledged the efforts of the departments, branches, sectors and forces of the province in managing the border and landmarks; exploiting the potential and economy of border gates and protecting security and order on the border and inland in the past time, especially when the newly merged Tay Ninh province is one of the provinces with a long border.

After surveying the actual situation and through reports and discussions at the working session, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet requested departments, branches, sectors and forces to coordinate and complete the report, clearly stating the results of implementing the assigned tasks specifically for each department, branch and sector, especially the proposals and recommendations for the province and the Central Government.

In the coming time, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet also requested departments and branches to continue to research, complete planning and consider the factors of infrastructure and human resources in developing and upgrading border gates, especially the conclusions and directions of the Provincial Party Committee related to Tan Nam International Border Gate. At the same time, strengthen the effectiveness of coordination between functional forces such as police, border guards, customs in controlling and ensuring border security; promptly handle complicated cases, prevent cross-border crimes, and prevent illegal entry and exit activities.

Regarding cooperation and foreign affairs with border localities of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Provincial Party Secretary requested departments and branches to review regulations related to foreign cooperation between levels, especially with the commune level when implementing 2-level local government. Continue to research and propose opportunities for cooperation in border economic development and diplomatic work, exchanges with border localities. Strengthen coordination with neighboring forces to promptly resolve issues arising on the border, ensure security, territorial safety and maintain peaceful and friendly relations between localities in particular and the two countries in general.
