In the green, shady campus of Regiment 584, the clear, attentive eyes of the young soldiers listened to the speech of Lieutenant Colonel Cao Xuan Duc, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Regiment at the launching ceremony. Not just big words, the speech of the unit leader also contained profound lessons and experiences from himself to inspire, helping each young soldier learn how to master his life from the smallest things. And that statement is also like a heartfelt message: “For each soldier - those who are wearing the sacred military uniform, saving is only beneficial, not harmful; saving is not only a duty to oneself but also a manifestation of courage, quality and will to train oneself. Saving today is also an investment for one's own future. Therefore, the awareness of saving right now will help each soldier have a solid preparation, an important accumulation foundation to enter life with initiative and confidence for a brighter, more stable future”.
Representatives of the Youth Union branches under the Youth Union of Regiment 584 ( Dak Lak Provincial Military Command) signed a commitment to respond to the movement at the launching ceremony. |
It is no coincidence that the Movement "Saving allowances towards the future" was chosen by Regiment 584 as a highlight in the work of the Union and youth movement in 2025. Because saving from the allowance itself, although not large, is a great lesson in the spirit of overcoming difficulties, being proactive and living with a plan.
Private Giang Mi Vu, of the Service Platoon, Battalion 303, shared: “Every month after receiving my allowance, I set aside a small portion to send to my mother in the countryside. Before, it was just spontaneous, but now that there is a general movement, I feel more motivated. Saving is not just about keeping money but also about keeping gratitude to parents and maintaining a spirit of self-reliance.” For Private Giang Mi Vu, like many soldiers, each allowance spent or saved carries with it consideration, awareness and responsibility.
At the ceremony, the subordinate branches signed a commitment to seriously implement the movement. This is not just a commitment on paper but an honorable promise to the collective and to themselves. Lieutenant Colonel Cao Xuan Duc emphasized in an interview with us after the launching ceremony: "The regiment identifies saving allowances as a process of educating financial awareness, helping soldiers get used to an independent life, appreciate labor and prepare a strong mindset when completing military service."
It is known that in order for the movement not to stop at just appeals, Regiment 584 has a specific plan: Organizing seminars and forums on the meaning, effectiveness and responsibility of each member in implementing the movement; introducing effective saving models, typical advanced examples in implementing the movement and periodically summarizing and praising typical examples in practicing saving. In addition, propaganda work is promoted through the youth bulletin board system, internal radio and branch activities. Each young soldier not only saves for himself but also becomes a role model, a person who spreads positive values in the unit.
Private Tran Xuan Nam, from Buon Ho town, Dak Lak province, emotionally shared: "When I wrote a letter to my parents, I told them that I would save my allowance and send it back to my family. My father was very happy and excited, and went to show off to the neighbors about my maturity."
The movement “Saving allowances towards the future” of the Youth Union of Regiment 584 is a concrete and practical step to nurture the most basic values in the lives of cadres, union members and youth of the unit, which is to live responsibly, know how to appreciate efforts and look towards the future with their own hands and minds. That is the basis to help young soldiers silently build a solid future for tomorrow.
