(GLO)- According to the Customs Department, from the beginning of the year to March 15, 2025, the country's import-export turnover reached 162.78 billion USD, an increase of 12% over the same period. The trade balance had a surplus of 1.81 billion USD.

Specifically, according to the latest statistics of the Customs Department, the total import-export value of the whole country by the end of March 15, 2025 reached 162.78 billion USD, an increase of 12%, equivalent to an increase of 17.46 billion USD in absolute terms compared to the same period in 2024. Of which, Vietnam's total export turnover reached 82.29 billion USD, an increase of 6.3%, equivalent to an increase of 1.07 billion USD compared to the same period in 2024; the total import value of the whole country reached 80.49 billion USD, an increase of 15.2% (equivalent to an increase of 10.61 billion USD) compared to the same period in 2024.

From the beginning of the year to March 15, 2025, the trade balance of goods had a surplus of 1.81 billion USD.

Notably, the total import-export value of enterprises with foreign direct investment (FDI) reached 110.09 billion USD, up 10.8% (equivalent to an increase of 10.73 billion USD).

FDI enterprises still account for a large proportion of our country's total export turnover. From the beginning of the year to March 15, 2025, the total export turnover of goods of FDI enterprises reached 58.93 billion USD, an increase of 8.2% (equivalent to an increase of 4.45 billion USD) over the same period last year, accounting for 71.6% of the country's total export turnover.
