Provincial Youth Union visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers

On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), on the afternoon of July 24, Long An Provincial Youth Union led by Central Executive Committee Member, Provincial Youth Union Secretary - Tran Hai Phu visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Bong residing in Binh Nam Hamlet, Binh Tam Commune, Tan An City.

Heroic Vietnamese mother Nguyen Thi Bong was born in 1940. Her husband Le Van Khuong died in the resistance war against France and her eldest son Le Van Thanh was a martyr. On behalf of the delegation, Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - Tran Hai Phu Kindly inquire about the health of Mother and family, grateful for Mother's great and irreplaceable sacrifice, forever a shining example for future generations to follow.

On this occasion, the union members cleaned the altar and burned incense to show their respect for the family's sacrifices and contributions in the struggle for national independence. At the same time, the delegation presented a reconstructed portrait of martyr Le Van Thanh - the eldest son of Mother, bringing comfort and encouragement to the family.

Previously, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee also organized delegations to visit and present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in Ben Luc, Vinh Hung, and Can Giuoc.

This is an activity with profound humanistic meaning, through which,educating the tradition of "Drinking water, remember its source", demonstrating the responsibility and role of youth in the work of "Repaying gratitude".
