Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee delivered the opening speech at the Workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Ninh Binh is a land of outstanding people. This land has nurtured and given birth to many great heroes and celebrities for Vietnam: Dinh Tien Hoang De and the four pillars of the Dinh Dynasty (Dinh Dien, Nguyen Bac, Trinh Tu, Luu Co), National Master Nguyen Minh Khong, cultural celebrity Thai Pho Truong Han Sieu, Minister Ninh Ton, Trang Bong Vu Duy Thanh, celebrity Pham Than Duat, communist soldier Ta Uyen...

Among them, the famous Grand Tutor Truong Han Sieu has a particularly important position. Grand Tutor Truong Han Sieu is a typical cultural celebrity of the ancient capital Hoa Lu - Ninh Binh, a clear witness to the long-standing cultural tradition of this cultural land. He is also a figure of national stature, an outstanding son of Dai Viet culture under the Tran Dynasty. He deserves to be ranked among the celebrities honored at the Temple of Literature as the Tran Dynasty had "ranked" in the past.

Due to historical circumstances, documents on the life and career of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu are still limited and incomplete. Therefore, the Workshop is of great significance - an opportunity for scientists and research experts to continue to study and clarify the life and career of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu; evaluate the position, role and contributions of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu to culture, history... in the historical process of the Vietnamese nation; at the same time, propose solutions to protect, inherit and promote the values of historical and cultural heritage related to Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu in the cause of building culture, economy and society of the country in general and Ninh Binh province in particular today.

Through the Workshop, we aim to contribute to promoting the preservation, honoring and spreading of traditional cultural and historical values of the locality, deepening pride, educating patriotism and the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" for today's and future generations.

Attending the conference, delegates listened to the following reports: Truong Han Sieu and the fusion of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism (Dr. Dinh Van Vien); Finding solutions to the remaining questions in the life and career of the Tran Dynasty's Grand Tutor Truong Han Sieu (Truong Dinh Tuong); Famous mandarin Truong Han Sieu and the defense of the border of the two northernmost regions of the country (Dr. Bui Van Huynh); Truong Han Sieu's political and military career...

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Minh Tuan, Vice President of Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, delivered a keynote speech at the Workshop.

The presentations at the Workshop as well as the opinions exchanged and questioned all focused on clarifying the role, background, career, merits, marks as well as the great contributions of Truong Han Sieu in the process of national history. In particular, clarifying the role and contributions of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu to the Tran Dynasty, to Dai Viet culture and to contemporary society, expressed in four main aspects: The role of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu in the flow of history, literature, culture as well as the value of historical and cultural heritage related to Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu in contemporary society; at the same time, proposing recommendations and suggestions on ideas to preserve, maintain and promote the value of the heritage of Duc Thuy Mountain associated with the historical figure Truong Han Sieu.

Dr. Le Minh Nghiep, Duy Tan University, delivered a speech on "Truong Han Sieu's political and military career ideology" at the Conference.

Closing the Workshop, Mr. Tong Quang Thin, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: After a morning of serious, responsible and dedicated work, the Scientific Workshop " The Life and Career of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu" has completed the contents according to the proposed program. The Organizing Committee of the Workshop received nearly 40 reports from central and local scientists and researchers. This is a huge volume of presentations for a Scientific Workshop, demonstrating the deep interest of scientists and managers in the issues raised by the Workshop.

At the Workshop, there were many opinions exchanged, from many fields and with different approaches, but the presentations all focused on the main issues related to the Workshop theme, which are: The life and career of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu; Analysis and evaluation of the contributions and legacy of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu to the history and culture of Vietnam; Proposing directions and solutions to inherit, preserve and promote the legacy value of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu in the economic - cultural - social development of the country in general and Ninh Binh province in particular.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Tram, Director of the Institute of Cultural Studies, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, delivered a closing speech at the Workshop.

The reports have rich, vivid content, high scientific content, meeting the general goals and requirements of the Workshop, clarifying the life and career of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu; assessing the position, role and contributions of Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu to culture, history... in the historical process of the Vietnamese nation; at the same time proposing solutions to protect, inherit and promote the values of historical and cultural heritage related to Grand Preceptor Truong Han Sieu in the current cause of building culture, economy and society of the province.

The workshop is meant to provide data and scientific basis for professional agencies and managers of the province to better understand and accurately assess the role and stature of the historical figure Truong Han Sieu, thereby having reasonable solutions to exploit research results into practical policy planning, contributing to the work of preserving, exploiting, developing and honoring the cultural heritages of the province.
