People's Artist Hong Van always considered the late author Le Duy Hanh a respected teacher. For her, although he never stepped onto the podium to teach, during his four terms as Secretary General and then Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, he advised and guided her to clearly realize that the role of an artist is that she cannot deny her responsibility to society.
"I would like to offer Mr. Le Duy Hanh the most meaningful gift, which is to stage the Vietnamese historical musical "The Crossbow" composed by him. He is the teacher, the captain who has steered the Ho Chi Minh City stage for many decades. The mark of each work on the Hong Van Drama Stage and many other stages is imbued with the style of the late composer Le Duy Hanh. I will focus on staging more Vietnamese historical musicals. This is not only a tribute but also a guideline for my generation of students, in order to promote the most beautiful values oriented towards the humanism and intelligence that Mr. Le Duy Hanh left behind" - People's Artist Hong Van confided.
People's Artist Minh Vuong always encourages the young generation of artists to promote their role in artistic creation on Vietnam Stage Day.
Meritorious Artist Que Tran also believes that her father - the late People's Artist Thanh Tong - was also a strict teacher who devoted his entire life to the traditional opera stage, and from his scientific research work - "From Hat Boi to Traditional Opera", he left behind a huge legacy of hundreds of scripts, dance forms, and innovations in traditional opera music.
"On September 28, the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association will organize a discussion on "The role of Ho Chi Minh City's classical opera from 1975 to present" - a project that continues my father's research. As a junior generation of classical opera, I will join hands with young colleagues to create these glorious values by composing more and better Vietnamese historical scripts. Because that is the responsibility of a citizen artist" - Meritorious Artist Que Tran expressed.
Meritorious Artist Le Trung Thao confided: "I have learned a lot from my respected teacher, Meritorious Artist - Director Hoa Ha, who taught me to be honored with the role of Le Van Duyet in the play "Loyal God". I am cherishing a plan to build a cultural and artistic heritage road, which will bring the Cai Luong stage closer to the public at the City Theater lobby or Bui Vien walking street... I think this will be the most meaningful and practical gift of gratitude for the predecessors, and also demonstrate the sense of responsibility of an artist".
Although he was an artist who went to university to study stage directing quite late, because he had already become famous as an actor, Meritorious Artist Thanh Hoi always respected People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc - the person who silently stood behind his artistic achievements. People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc emotionally recalled: "Thanh Hoi studied directing as diligently as a worker bee. After that, he applied his knowledge very well, producing many stage works under the brand name of Hoang Thai Thanh Drama".
Young artist Hoang Hai, a student of People's Artist Bach Tuyet, confided: "I am very happy because every time I organize a live show, young people come to watch and cheer in large numbers. That achievement is thanks to the dedicated teachings of Ms. Bach Tuyet. She has told me many times - every role must be for the common benefit and progress of society."
Comedian Tan Beo once mentioned the comedian Meritorious Artist Bao Quoc - a respected teacher of the comedy stage in Ho Chi Minh City. "Uncle Sau Bao Quoc often told me: Comedians need to stop making silly, absurd jokes; laughter must have the responsibility to make life more beautiful. Indeed, I feel like I have done something useful for society when I bring "humane" laughter to life" - artist Tan Beo said.
It can be said that the artistic achievements that artists as teachers and junior artists have made are valuable and worthy of respect. The meaningful gift that artists respectfully offer to their ancestors is that they have created and are creating valuable works of art for life. These are the most beautiful and vivid images on Vietnam Theatre Day.
