Seminar to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union and the 15th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day

DBP - On the afternoon of October 19, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a discussion to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025) and the 15th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day October 20. Attending the discussion was comrade Mua A Vang, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.

Speaking at the opening ceremony and reviewing the 95-year tradition of the Vietnam Women's Union, Comrade Po Dieu Ninh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union, emphasized that this is an opportunity to review the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese women's movement and pay tribute to generations of cadres and members who have contributed to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Along with women across the country, Dien Bien women have constantly promoted the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, overcoming difficulties and rising up. The role and position of Dien Bien Women have been increasingly enhanced, making an important contribution to the development of the province. Up to now, the Provincial Women's Union has gone through 12 Congresses, currently the whole province has 1,447 Union bases and 111,358 members. The rate of women participating in Party committees, People's Councils, Fatherland Front and mass organizations exceeds the set target. The movement of women in economic development, entrepreneurship, business start-up, and development of cooperatives owned by women is increasingly spreading.

Vice President of the Women's Union of Po Dieu Ninh province spoke to review the traditions of Vietnamese women.

2025 is the year of implementing the Party and State's major policy on administrative unit arrangement and implementing the 2-level local government model. The Women's Union at all levels has innovated its content and methods of operation to suit the requirements of the new tasks and models. In the coming time, the provincial Women's Union at all levels will continue to promote the glorious tradition of the Union, together with women across the country, to carry out well the emulation movements, campaigns and key tasks of the Union, join hands and contribute to building a strong and developed union organization.

Speaking at the seminar, comrade Mua A Vang praised and acknowledged the great contributions of generations of cadres and women's union members of Dien Bien province in recent years. Entering a new stage of development, he requested the Women's Union at all levels to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, overcoming difficulties, and unanimously completing the political tasks of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, contributing together with the province to successfully complete the targets set out in the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

The seminar program contributes to arousing pride, solidarity and creativity among women, while affirming the attention of Party committees and authorities to women's work, aiming to successfully implement the province's development goals in the new period.
