Talk show “Godmother – the journey of connecting love”

BHG - On the afternoon of May 27, at Vincom Plaza Ha Giang , the Provincial Women's Union (VWU) organized a talk show "Godmother - Journey of connecting love". Attending the talk show were the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union, districts, cities, and representatives of 20 outstanding pairs of mothers and adopted children.

Delegates presented gifts to outstanding mother-child pairs.

The "Godmother" program, launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union in October 2021, has profound humanitarian significance and has received positive responses from all levels, sectors, social organizations and enthusiastic women's union members, becoming a widespread movement across the country. In our province, 398 children have been sponsored. Notably, the Women's Unions of districts, cities and armed forces units have sponsored 51 children; the Women's Union at the grassroots level has sponsored 222 children; organizations and individuals have sponsored 123 children... Currently, the whole province still has 1,847 orphans in need of help.

At the seminar, delegates shared their journey of connecting love; arousing the spirit of "mutual love", "helping each other" in the community to improve the "Godmother" program, contributing to bringing orphans and children in especially difficult circumstances a better life.
