The seminar attracted the attention of many lecturers, students of the school and Bulgarian friends.
In her opening speech, Professor Gergana Petkova, Head of the Department of Classical and Modern Languages, said that the Department is the only university in Bulgaria that teaches Vietnamese and subjects about Vietnam. He expressed his honor to host an important event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Bulgaria relations.
Thanking the leaders and lecturers of the faculties, departments and divisions of Sofia University for coordinating to organize a meaningful discussion, joining in the joyful atmosphere to celebrate the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (1950-2025), Ambassador Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet expressed her emotions in her first contact with the Bulgarian academic and press community.
The Ambassador hopes that Bulgarian journalists will actively share their authentic views of Vietnam through stories, images and personal experiences; hoping that more and more young Bulgarian journalists will have the opportunity to explore the country and people of Vietnam, contributing to bringing the image of today's Vietnam closer to the Bulgarian people.

Opening the discussion, Mr. Martin Kerefeyski, editor of NOVA TV, shared about his impressive trip from North to South in Vietnam in the last 2 weeks of 2024. Most of these images were used in a 3-part reportage series about Vietnam, broadcast on NOVA TV in March 2025.
Editor Martin Kerefeyski was particularly impressed by the beautiful natural scenery as well as the friendliness and hospitality of the Vietnamese people. His interview with a former student in Bulgaria in Ho Chi Minh City highlighted the role of more than 30,000 Vietnamese citizens who studied in Bulgaria in developing the Bulgaria-Vietnam friendship.

Next, journalist Kadrinka Kadrinova shared many photos and memories of her five visits to Vietnam, especially the occasions when she directly attended and reported on important events such as the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long (2010), the 60th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (2014), and the APEC Conference (2017).
Journalist Kadrinka Kadrinova shares more about Vietnamese history and culture; using the image of Vietnamese bamboo to talk about the strength of Vietnam's tradition of patriotism and national unity. Journalist Kadrinka Kadrinova also introduces her two books, "Vietnam - Dragon and Phoenix" (2010) and "Miracle of Vietnam" (2020).
During the discussion, lecturers, students of Sofia University and Bulgarian friends asked questions, shared their thoughts about Vietnam; watched video clips and visited photo exhibitions introducing the beauty of Vietnam.
