Throughout the province: More than 15,000 people have registered to donate tissues, organs, and corneas for medical purposes.

The Red Cross Society of Binh Minh commune, in coordination with the Eye Bank - Central Eye Hospital, recently received a donated cornea from Mr. Hoang Van Ban (born in 1951, residing in Tan Van hamlet) in accordance with his and his family's wishes.

Doctors receive the corneas from deceased donors.

The noble act of Mr. Hoang Van Ban and his family continues to spread the message "Giving the gift of life - "Extending hope," multiplying beautiful acts in the community. This is the 21st corneal donation in Ninh Binh province in 2025.

According to data from the Provincial Red Cross Society, in 2025, Ninh Binh province had 185 people registered to donate tissues and organs, and 21 people registered to donate corneas. Since 2007, the entire province has had 15,705 people registered to donate tissues, organs, corneas, and bodies for medical purposes; of which, 485 people donated corneas, 3 people donated tissues and organs, and 1 person donated a body. With these achievements, Ninh Binh is considered a shining example nationwide in the movement of tissue, organ, and cornea donation.
