
Attending the event were representatives from the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs (GĐLS), the Liaison Committee of Comrades of the 330th Division of Ninh Binh Province, along with organizations and associations in the commune , the families , and a large number of local people .
Martyr Vu Van Dinh, born in 1955, enlisted in October 1974 in the 330th Division, Military Region 9. He bravely sacrificed his life on May 7, 1977, in a battle at Binh Di Bac, An Giang province . With many outstanding achievements in training and combat, he was honored to be admitted to the Vietnam Labor Party, posthumously awarded the Third Class Military Merit Medal and the Third Class Glorious Soldier Medal by the State , and received numerous commendations and certificates of merit from his unit. He was buried by his comrades at the Chau Phu District Martyrs' Cemetery, An Giang province. However, some information on Martyr Vu Van Dinh's grave is incorrect. Therefore, the family did not receive accurate information about the burial place of the fallen soldier.

Having obtained information about the grave of martyr Vu Van Dinh and through searching his records, the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs quickly connected with the martyr's family and coordinated with the Political Department of Military Region 9 to verify the martyr's place of death. Based on this, the Departments of Internal Affairs of Ninh Binh and An Giang provinces corrected the inaccurate information on the tombstone, completed the procedures, and appealed to benefactors for support in transporting the martyr's remains back to his hometown after nearly 48 years. This is an act of profound political and humanitarian significance, fulfilling the aspirations of the people and the martyr's family.
At the ceremony, representatives of the Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, the Party Committee, the government of Khanh Hoi commune , and the people lit incense to commemorate and express their deep gratitude and forever remember the great contributions of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
