General Secretary To Lam receives Senior Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security of Singapore

The General Secretary was delighted to meet Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean again; thanked the Minister for his good feelings and important contributions to promoting Vietnam - Singapore relations. Appreciating the vision of Singaporean leaders and Singapore's impressive achievements in science and technology development, digital transformation and building a smart nation, making Singapore a leading center of science - technology,education - training in the region and the world, General Secretary To Lam suggested that Singapore share with Vietnam its experience in smart urban management, advanced technology, supporting startups and connecting Vietnamese enterprises with regional and global markets.

Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean welcomed the official visit of General Secretary To Lam to Singapore in his new position, opening up opportunities to further deepen cooperation between the two countries in various fields, especially the upgrading of the two countries to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which is an important milestone in the history of the development of Vietnam-Singapore relations. Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean highly appreciated Vietnam's socio -economic achievements in the renovation process, breakthroughs in science and technology development in Vietnam, and hoped that the two countries would cooperate in science and technology and human resource training.

The two sides agreed on future cooperation directions, including promoting cooperation in key areas such as science, technology and innovation, training and human resource development through student, researcher and expert exchanges between the National University of Singapore and Vietnamese educational institutions, establishing research and development centers, and encouraging Singaporean technology enterprises to invest in Vietnam.
