During the peak of the campaign to control vehicles equipped with sand pumping and suction equipment and vehicles transporting sand and gravel, the traffic police force will strictly handle violations with the motto "no forbidden zones, no exceptions".

Implementing the direction of the Ministry of Public Security , the Traffic Police Department, the Traffic Police Department of the provinces of Tien Giang, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long and Dong Thap have simultaneously organized a general inspection of vehicles equipped with sand pumping and suction equipment and vehicles transporting sand and gravel on waterways in conjunction with the work of preventing, fighting and handling crimes and violations of the law in the exploitation, transportation, gathering and trading of minerals for common construction materials and filling materials.

Traffic Police of Dong Thap Province launched a general inspection of vehicles equipped with sand pumping and suction equipment and vehicles transporting sand and gravel on waterways.

The plan is implemented from May 21 to November 14 and is divided into 3 phases, phase 1 from May 21 to May 31, phase 2 from June 1 to July 31 and phase 3 from August 1 to November 14.

Traffic Police forces of the provinces mobilize maximum forces, means and equipment to effectively carry out patrols, control and strictly handle violations of regulations on registration, inspection, technical safety, environment and operating conditions of inland waterway vehicles and converted vehicles.

Traffic Police of Vinh Long Province mobilized people to commit and voluntarily remove sand and gravel pumping equipment from their vehicles.

The peak of the general control campaign is to prevent and stop illegal sand and gravel mining activities, maintain security and order on rivers; proactively exchange information, grasp the situation of subjects violating the law on waterways, especially border routes and coastal routes, promptly detect, plan to fight, arrest violations and handle them according to the provisions of law.

In Dong Thap, Major Nguyen Trung Tam, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department, emphasized the implementation of the peak period to prevent, stop, and resolutely and thoroughly handle all unregistered, uninspected, expired registered watercraft, converted vehicles, vehicles with additional pumping equipment installed, sand and gravel transport vehicles without invoices or documents proving legal origin, and criminal acts and violations of the law related to the illegal exploitation, transportation, gathering, and consumption of sand and gravel on waterways.
