Notably, Anh Nam completed his college program in just 2 years, half a year shorter than the normal schedule.
Mr. Nam (22 years old) is one of the prominent faces present at the opening ceremony and graduation ceremony of Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics , which took place on October 20.
Mr. Nam shared that in 2020, after graduating from high school, he decided not to go to university to learn German and look for opportunities to study abroad in Germany.
After 2 years, Nam's German was quite good, but for some family reasons, Nam could not study abroad.
Then you have to go back to your study plan in Vietnam. Realizing that you are 2 years behind your peers, Nam chose to enroll in college and determined to study quickly to "make up" for the time you started later.
Nam chose to study logistics at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics. Every semester, Nam registered for 2-3 more courses than his classmates. During the summer, Nam took advantage of the summer semester to take extra classes.
"I learn quickly but I am determined to get good results. For each subject, I try to complete it with the highest score possible," Nam said.
In addition to studying, Anh Nam also participates in many logistics competitions. In 2023, he and his teammates from Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics participated in the Vietnam Young Logistics Talents Competition, entering the top 15 nationwide among hundreds of teams from universities and colleges across the country.
This is also the foundation for you to get a job in your field in January 2024 after only 1.5 years of study. Currently, Nam has become an official employee of the sales department of a logistics company in Ho Chi Minh City.
So now, at the age of 22, Anh Nam has graduated and has a good job, "catching up" with many of his "2K2" peers. Nam's future plan is to work to gain experience and possibly continue his studies.
"I think it doesn't matter where you come from, what matters is that you always try your best. And going to college or university doesn't make much of a difference if you're always aware that learning is never enough, and you always have to proactively improve your knowledge," said Anh Nam.

In addition to graduates, the new students entering the Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics this year also left many impressions. In particular, many new students with very high high school graduation exam scores also chose to study at college.
The school's valedictorian this year is Nguyen Thi Truc Duy, who was admitted based on her high school graduation exam scores, with a total score of 27.75 points in block C (literature - history - geography). Truc Duy - a former student of Nguyen Dang High School ( Tra Vinh ) - refused to enroll in a university to choose to study in college.
Also admitted to university but did not choose, but instead studied at Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics is new student Le Nguyen Bao Han. She is a former student of Nguyen Cong Tru High School ( Dak Lak ), with a high school graduation exam score of 27 points in block D (math - literature - English).
"After considering, I think studying at college or university is equally good because I will always have to train myself. However, studying at college is more suitable for me because the study time is short, I can start working early and the tuition is cheap," Bao Han said.
