On April 28, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said it had prepared an emergency system to serve the upcoming April 30 holiday.
The city's health sector has mobilized 20 two-wheeled ambulances, 64 ambulances from the emergency network outside hospitals and 146 first aid points of the Red Cross, ready to respond to emergency work in the community.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has also directed hospitals and medical facilities, both public and private, to coordinate with the medical forces of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security to ensure the highest efficiency in the task of taking care of the health of leaders, delegations, parades, visitors and all people participating in events and activities within the framework of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
The 115 Emergency Center develops plans and acts as the focal point for implementing comprehensive emergency work throughout the series of activities celebrating the anniversary.
At the same time, closely coordinate with the Military Medical Department, the Health Department, and hospitals of ministries and branches in developing medical plans for parades and marches.
In which, arrange forces and have a strict emergency plan according to 3 zones (on-site - grandstand area, buffer zone, reserve), design emergency flow suitable to the actual conditions of each hospital and current traffic system, ensure to bring patients to the nearest medical facility quickly, safely and effectively.
In addition, the 115 Emergency Center and 44 satellite emergency stations are ready with ambulances fully equipped with emergency equipment and medicine for emergency care of people in the community.
This unit will mobilize 20 more two-wheeled ambulances to participate in the buffer zone, ready for emergency situations in crowded areas where ambulances have difficulty accessing the scene.
The Department of Health has requested that 146 Red Cross first aid stations be ready to provide first aid during the April 30 holiday.
The City Center for Disease Control will have a plan to ensure disease prevention during the series of events and activities of the celebration.
In particular, in coordination with medical facilities, the Department of Food Safety strictly inspects food hygiene and safety from the stage of purchasing raw materials to the process of transporting, preserving, processing and using food; promotes activities to ensure food hygiene and safety at hotels, accommodation establishments, conference venues and commemorative activities.
Hospitals and medical facilities in the city assign and arrange forces to participate in medical teams on duty at parade and marching locations according to the allocation diagram; at the same time, review and supplement sufficient medicine and medical equipment, arrange forces at the unit, and be ready to receive treatment when necessary.

Previously, on April 27, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan visited and encouraged the medical staff to perform the task of ensuring medical care for delegates, soldiers, and people during the upcoming April 30 holiday.
Specifically, inspecting the mobile medical facility of People's Hospital 115 and the emergency station of Military Hospital 175 (Ministry of National Defense), Minister Dao Hong Lan highly appreciated the thoughtful and comprehensive preparation in medical assurance work of the units.
The Minister of Health hopes that medical staff will maintain good health, coordinate well, complete their tasks excellently, and avoid any incidents, contributing to ensuring absolute medical safety and security for the people and forces participating in the country's important events.
