On the evening of November 18, the Ca Mau Crab Food Festival 2025 officially opened at the Youth Cultural House (No. 4 Pham Ngoc Thach, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City). This is also one of the activities of the "Hello Ca Mau" Festival jointly organized by the People's Committee of Ca Mau Province and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
The event takes place over 4 days, from November 18 to 22, open to the public from 9am to 10pm every day, gathering 100 booths displaying and introducing specialties of Ca Mau and other regions.

Mr. Huynh Chi Nguyen, Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee, delivered the opening speech of the program.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Huynh Chi Nguyen, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, emphasized: Ca Mau is the southernmost land of the country, possessing a diverse ecosystem, rich in resources and cultural identity. Trade - tourism - cuisine are always the spearheads of development, in which Ca Mau crab has become a typical and famous product, welcomed by domestic and foreign markets.
Mr. Huynh Chi Nguyen affirmed that organizing the festival in Ho Chi Minh City is an opportunity to introduce products such as shrimp and crab from Ca Mau and the cultural and culinary values of the southernmost land to the public, while promoting trade and cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau province.

According to the organizers, this year's festival is arranged in 4 main spaces. The exhibition area recreates the life and culture of the forest and sea of Ca Mau with unique models, images and symbols; the display area introduces more than 100 booths of regional specialties, connecting trade with products from crab, dried shrimp, whiteleg shrimp, dried fish, bird's nest, shrimp crackers, pork rolls...

Delegates visited and directly experienced the food booths and talked with participating units.
The highlight is the culinary processing and demonstration area, where artisans and chefs from Ca Mau and Ho Chi Minh City directly prepare crab and seafood dishes, guide diners in choosing crabs, preparing delicious dishes and learning about the sea and crab profession. Visitors can also enjoy on-site and explore the ecological crab farming model typical of Ca Mau province.

Vibrant culinary space with artisans and chefs directly preparing dishes, bringing a close experience to locals and tourists.
The stage area is a cultural and artistic exchange area, where visitors can enjoy traditional music, folk songs of the river delta, traditional costumes, stories about the fishing and crab professions, and folk and modern music performances.
Visitors also have the opportunity to meet artisans and businesses, learn about the journey of building a brand and preserving the culinary identity of the southernmost region.
Before the opening, the food stalls were packed with locals and tourists enjoying the delicious dishes made from crab and shrimp; watching the artisans prepare them. Many families also brought their children to experience and learn about the ecological crab farming model under the forest canopy.

Many people and tourists arrived early, eager to visit and enjoy the food at the festival.
The event promises to become a destination to spread the culinary and cultural values typical of Ca Mau, while opening up opportunities for trade, tourism and enhancing the brand of local products.
