Ho Chi Minh City revises reward policy for excellent students

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Council has just issued a Resolution amending and supplementing the policy of rewarding excellent students. The Resolution takes effect from December 21, 2024.

Accordingly, Resolution 35 on amending and supplementing the policy of rewarding excellent students and teachers with achievements in training and fostering excellent students of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council has the following content:

Additional subjects to be rewarded: Students and trainees who win prizes in national competitions, sports , cultural and artistic competitions. The reward levels are:

Gold medal (first): 7.5 million VND

Silver medal (second): 5 million VND

Bronze medal (three): 3.5 million VND.

Encouragement prize (fourth prize): 2 million VND.

In addition, this resolution also adds the following prizes for students who win prizes in national-level student start-up idea competitions: Gold medal (first prize): 50 million VND; Silver medal (second prize): 40 million VND; Bronze medal (third prize): 30 million VND; Encouragement prize (fourth prize): 20 million VND.

Students who win first prize (gold medal) in excellent student competitions, scientific and technical research; Students with city-level start-up ideas will receive the following benefits:

Primary level: 5 million VND; Secondary level (General Education and Continuing Education): 10 million VND; High school level (General Education and Continuing Education): 12 million VND.

Thus, this is the first time Ho Chi Minh City has regulated the reward level for students who win prizes in national sports, cultural and artistic competitions.

This policy reflects Ho Chi Minh City's comprehensiveeducation goal, encouraging students to develop their talents not only in cultural subjects but also in sports, cultural and artistic activities...

Reward the best student 200 million VND/student

In addition to the above adjustments, the Resolution amending and supplementing the policy of rewarding excellent students this time continues to maintain the highest reward level as:

200 million VND for students who win gold medals (first prizes) in international Olympiads in subjects, international science and technology research competitions and equivalent. Students who win silver medals (second prizes) are 160 million VND; bronze medals (third prizes) are 120 million VND; consolation prizes (fourth prizes) are 50 million VND.

Students and trainees who win prizes in regional Olympic competitions in subjects, regional scientific and technical research competitions and equivalents will receive the following: Gold medal (first prize): 120 million VND; silver medal (second prize): 90 million VND; bronze medal (third prize): 75 million VND; encouragement prize (fourth prize): 30 million VND.

Students and trainees winning prizes in excellent student competitions and scientific and technical research competitions: Gold medal (first prize): 50 million VND; silver medal (second prize): 40 million VND; bronze medal (third prize): 30 million VND; encouragement prize (fourth prize): 20 million VND.
