The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just requested many departments and branches to deploy key solutions to promote exports and develop foreign markets.
Accordingly, the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to provide information, market consultancy, trade promotion; promote industrial promotion activities, connect exporters, importers, distributors in the local market, promote products and brands.
The Department of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to proactively review and remove difficulties and obstacles for each enterprise and each investment project according to regulations; especially large projects with foreign investment capital from important markets; call for and attract large, multinational corporations to participate in investment in export production projects, prioritizing large-scale projects with modern technology, highly competitive products and the ability to participate in the global value chain; selectively attract investment.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and sectors to strengthen links and share information between localities on the situation of crop production, output and harvest of agricultural and aquatic products; promptly resolve difficulties and problems that arise; coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade and relevant departments, branches and sectors in export activities to cooperate in determining transparent, public and beneficial markets for agricultural and aquatic products for farmers and businesses; regularly update information and situations from border provinces to advise farmers, production facilities, and enterprises processing and exporting agricultural products and fresh fruits in the area to proactively plan production, packaging, delivery and export of goods, avoiding congestion and other adverse impacts.

The Center for Trade and Investment Promotion presides over and coordinates with the Department of Industry and Trade and relevant agencies to promote activities connecting domestic enterprises with foreign-invested enterprises, promoting domestic enterprises to participate in the supply chain of foreign-invested enterprises; implementing large-scale, in-depth trade promotion programs for each industry in key markets such as the EU, the United States, China, Japan, Korea, ASEAN, India, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
The Department of Construction shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to advise on speeding up the construction progress and upgrading of transport infrastructure, warehouses, deep-water seaports, and logistics centers on routes and corridors connecting the city's ports to meet the requirements of import and export of goods.
The Department of Science and Technology strengthens propaganda, training and education on intellectual property for import-export enterprises.
The Customs Sub-Department of Region II coordinates with relevant agencies to manage and control the quality of goods during customs procedures, prevent the import of poor quality goods, goods that violate intellectual property rights, and goods with fraudulent origin.
The State Bank of Vietnam, Region 2 branch, continues to direct local credit institutions to actively participate in programs connecting banks and businesses to ensure that the program is widely deployed in all areas of the City, contributing to providing sufficient capital for businesses to serve production and business development.
The City Business Association (HUBA) promotes market information for members to enhance their proactiveness and prevent risks when the market fluctuates; promotes the role in connecting members and representing to protect the legitimate rights and interests of members in international trade.
