TRA ON: 37 livestock facilities according to farm scale

Of which, there are 29 broiler farms with a total herd of 570,700 chickens; 8 pig farms with 2,100 pigs. The facilities are concentrated in the communes of Tich Thien, Tra On town, Tra Con, Huu Thanh, Thuan Thoi, Tan My, with a total production land area of ​​nearly 53,300m2, and a total investment capital for production and business of 48.8 billion VND.

Most chicken farms operate as contract farms for companies: the company provides breeding stock and feed for contract farms and guarantees output, with farms' profits estimated at VND4.5 billion. Meanwhile, in the first quarter of 2025, 8 pig farms operated independently without any links to businesses, with pork prices increasing, and the farms had profits of VND2.8 billion.

Continuing to develop industrial livestock farming associated with bio-safety, the district's agricultural sector encourages 4 groups of pigs, cows, chickens, ducks, etc. to choose to raise new breeds with good productivity and meat quality, bringing high economic efficiency.
