On June 24, in Bac Giang province, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organized a training conference to enhance skills in selling OCOP products through digital means for rural youth.
The program aims to implement the national goal of building new rural areas, while supporting rural youth, OCOP subjects of Bac Giang province, to transform digitally in promoting and consuming agricultural products, giving them the opportunity to easily reach many consumers, thereby developing the local economy .
Accordingly, famous TikTokers guide young people who own OCOP products to practice direct sales skills.
According to Mr. Canh Chi Quan, Deputy Head of the Central Youth Union's Rural Youth Department, e-commerce has become an increasingly popular and important method of buying and selling in the era of technology 4.0. The transition from traditional sales to e-commerce has opened a new door for people, especially farmers and agricultural producers.
Youth supporting people to sell agricultural products on e-commerce also helps save time and communication costs, reduces dependence on intermediaries and helps reduce risks related to transporting and preserving goods.
According to Mr. Quan, recently, the Central Youth Union has clearly defined its role and responsibility in supporting rural youth in applying high technology and digital transformation in production and business activities, connecting supply and demand to support the consumption of goods for cooperatives and enterprises.
In the context of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, changes in consumer demand and the market, the application of digital transformation is inevitable, especially in the field of agricultural product trade, including OCOP products.
Through this training course, rural youth will have a better understanding of e-commerce, especially livestreaming and sales skills associated with digital transformation, contributing to bringing OCOP products to consumers in the fastest and most convenient way. The Central Youth Union will always accompany the Provincial and Municipal Youth Unions across the country to organize more in-depth training courses, including digital transformation content," Mr. Quan emphasized.
Within the framework of the program, Mr. Mai Son, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, previously received and worked with the TikTok KOLs delegation, with more than 70 content creators on the TikTok platform from all regions of the country. The purpose of the delegation is to experience, promote and introduce the land, people and typical products of Bac Giang.
During their stay in Bac Giang, the delegation visited several places such as Bo Da Pagoda (Viet Yen), Vinh Nghiem Pagoda (Yen Dung), Tay Yen Tu Spiritual and Ecological Tourist Area (Son Dong); experienced lychee picking and visited Chu noodle village, Cam Son lake in Luc Ngan district. In addition, the delegation will experience night lychee picking with local people and enjoy local cuisine.
The content creators’ experience journey is part of the Bac Giang Multicolor campaign. This is a comprehensive campaign, telling unique stories about Bac Giang through the real-life experiences of KOLs (influential experience groups on social networks) to inspire the public about a new, heart-centered, culturally-oriented tourist destination that meets the needs of tourists looking for culture, cuisine, landscapes and indigenous people./.
