Awarding ceremony of the Contest "Bac Ninh Province Reading Culture Ambassador 2025"

NDO - On May 27, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh in coordination with the Department of Education and Training organized the summary and award ceremony of the "Bac Ninh Province Reading Culture Ambassador 2025" Contest. After more than 2 months of launching, the Organizing Committee received 81,229 entries from students of 241 schools across the province.

Following the success of the Bac Ninh Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest in previous years, this year is the 5th year that Bac Ninh Province has organized the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest.

After more than 2 months of launching (from March to May 2025), the Contest has attracted a large number of students at 3 levels (Primary, Middle, High School) of 8 districts, towns and cities in the province.

The Organizing Committee received 81,229 entries (including 80,674 written entries; 555 video clips) from students of 241 schools across the province, with video clip entries alone increasing by 91% compared to 2024.

The Organizing Committee awarded Encouragement Prizes to the contestants.

Many schools have high-quality entries and won high prizes such as: Tuong Giang Primary School, Dinh Bang 2 Primary School, Tu Son Secondary School (Tu Son city); Nguyen Dang Dao Secondary School, Hoang Hoa Tham Primary and Secondary School (Bac Ninh city)...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Luyen, Director of Bac Ninh Provincial Library, representative of the Organizing Committee, said: The total number of entries in 2025 decreased by 19% compared to 2024. However, the quality of entries was focused on, the quality of content and form was highly invested, the number of entries passing the preliminary round for judging increased by 25% compared to 2024. The total number of participating schools by area decreased by 14% compared to 2024, from 280 schools to 241 schools, due to some schools merging at different levels.

In 2025, the quality of the entries that passed the preliminary round and were considered for the award was significantly higher than in 2024. Many entries were of good quality, carefully invested in both form and content, demonstrating the excellence in ideas, creativity, and imagination of the contestants in sharing touching stories, impressive inspirational characters, and continuing stories with profound humane messages.

Four contestants won first prize in the competition.

According to the Organizing Committee, at the contest, many video clips showed outstanding creativity, rich staging methods in terms of script, presentation, scenery, costumes, application of information technology, and integration of scenes depicting the appearance and personality of the characters illustrated by the students themselves. Notably, many specific plans, measures and initiatives to promote reading were built by the students with practical feasibility and high persuasiveness to spread and develop reading culture in the community.

In particular, the contest entries focused on providing solutions to develop reading culture for children in remote areas and children with disabilities with many familiar, natural activities suitable for their age. Students also used a combination of vivid, unique and attractive presentation models such as: drawing illustrations, unique decorative motifs, neat handwriting, combined with the use of Braille, which truly created a profoundeducational meaning and a good impression for the Contest.

The Organizing Committee awarded the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador Award.

After a period of serious and responsible work, based on the results of the Jury's scoring, the Organizing Committee decided on 1 Reading Culture Ambassador award; 4 First prizes; 13 Second prizes; 30 Third prizes and 96 consolation prizes.

Through the contest, the Organizing Committee hopes to send a message to teachers, parents and students: "By participating in the contest, we not only express our own love of books but also become a bridge to inspire the love of reading in everyone around us, nurture the soul and connect people."
