The final round of ranking and award ceremony of this year's Smart City Microchip Design Competition is a competition between the top 8 best projects.
Of these 8 projects, 6 are in the southern region, 1 is from the northern region, and 1 is from the central region.
In the final round, the teams presented their products to the jury through means such as slides, videos , models or demos.
Products are evaluated based on technological maturity, practical applicability, incubation and commercialization potential.
In the end, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the best projects that fully met three criteria: Product applicability; socio -economic impact of the project; presentation and argumentation skills of the project team.

Accordingly, the First Prize belongs to contestant Nguyen Doan Hoang Phuc, University of Information Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University with the project Designing a RISC-V microcontroller with integrated hard coding towards energy saving.
A Second Prize went to the group of contestants Tran Anh Tai, To Hoang Phong, Phan Duc Dat, University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University with the Digital camera ASIC project.
Two Third Prizes went to two projects: AES-128 Encryption/Decryption IP Design Project on ASICs by the group of contestants Hoang Bao Long, Huynh Vu Dinh Phuoc, Nguyen Vu Thinh Anh, University of Science and Technology, University of Danang; Buck DC-DC Converter Project that responds promptly to a wide load range by the group of contestants Nguyen Xuan Dat; Doan Minh Tien; Nguyen Trung Kien; Trinh Xuan Hoang; Bui Xuan Phu, Hanoi University of Industry.
In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 3 Encouragement prizes, 4 Promising prizes, 1 Incubating Aspiration prize and other secondary prizes to teams with outstanding achievements.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Quoc Cuong, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, said that the second contest had made clear progress in both academic depth and practicality of the topics.

The quality of the projects has improved significantly, as shown by the higher average scores compared to the first competition, with some projects scoring more than 78 points, a very impressive score for students and young research groups.
This year's competition attracted 68 design projects from 27 universities, academies and research centers, an increase of 71% compared to the first competition, with nearly 300 contestants from across the country participating.
At the final round of ranking and the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee also organized an exhibition space, introducing products of the top 25 typical projects, creating conditions for the competing teams to exchange, connect and spread creative ideas.
