According to the organizers, the contest received 19 entries. After 3 rounds of evaluation, analysis, assessment and voting, the Art Council selected and awarded 1 first prize and 4 consolation prizes. The work VCB-2024-01 by sculptor Tran Viet Ha won first prize in the contest.
The composition of the work VCB-2024-01 consists of 3 parts: The symbolic pedestal, the monument and the two reliefs in the front and back. In which, the symbolic pedestal is a block of coconut palms interwoven with a simplified stylized cajuput forest canopy. The image is like a symbol of the people's heart protecting the revolution. Above is the image of a hammer and sickle symbolizing the Party flag, the 5-pointed star symbolizing the national flag with the meaning of expressing under the wise direction of the Party, the gathering to the North to study about building the South and fighting for independence and national reunification.
The monument consists of groups of statues placed in front of the monument symbolizing the atmosphere of separation at the gathering point.
The reliefs on the front and back sides include many winding, undulating images like the flow of the Chac Bang River then and now...

The 200-day and night gathering relic site of Vam Chac Bang belongs to the historical relic cluster of U Minh Thuong Base in the area of 3 districts An Bien - An Minh - Vinh Thuan. When the relic was recognized as a national relic site by the Ministry of Culture - Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ) on June 28, 1997.
Chac Bang is a canal belonging to two districts: Thoi Binh of Ca Mau province and Vinh Thuan of Kien Giang province. The canal is more than 40km long, connecting from the Trem River junction to the beginning of Vam Chac Bang to Cai Lon River. During the two resistance wars, Chac Bang canal marked many glorious victories. Currently, this place is oriented to develop into a spiritual tourist area...
