On the evening of June 25, in Quy Nhon city, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, the Center for Support and Development of Vietnamese Children, the Council of the Young Pioneers of Binh Dinh province and the OKO Foreign Language Center jointly organized the National Final Round of the playground "Vietnamese Youth - Global Citizens".
Although this is the first time the playground “Vietnamese Youth - Global Citizens” has been organized, it has attracted 60,497 team members and teenagers nationwide to participate. This is quite an impressive number, affirming the attractiveness, suitability to the learning and training needs of the children as well as equipping them with knowledge, skills, and readiness to prepare themselves to confidently enter an integrated world .
The playground "Vietnamese Youth - Global Citizens" was launched in November 2023, for team members and students aged 11-15, studying at secondary schools or secondary schools of inter-level schools across the country.
After the preliminary round with 350 students continuing to compete in the challenges, the Organizing Committee selected the 20 best candidates from the semi-finals to compete in the National Finals held in Binh Dinh.
The 6 best contestants in the Final Round were selected to participate in the Final Ranking Round of the playground. They went through the following rounds: Situational test, Q&A and general questions (each contestant was required to answer within 30 seconds).
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to Nguyen Tra My, class 7B1, Vinschool Times City Secondary School, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi City, with a reward including a Certificate of Merit from the Central Council of Young Pioneers, a summer camp in Japan for students and parents worth 250 million VND and 5 million VND in cash.
Two Second Prizes were awarded to Do Minh Chau, class 6A8, Chu Van An Secondary School, Ngo Quyen District, Hai Phong City and Pham Khang Huy, class 6A1, Hoang Hoa Tham Secondary School, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City with prizes including Certificate of Merit from the Central Council of Young Pioneers, a summer camp in Cebu, Philippines for students and parents worth 120 million VND and cash of 5 million VND.
Three Third Prizes were awarded to Tran Hoang Ha Linh, class 6A1, Voi Town Secondary School No. 1, Lang Giang District, Bac Giang Province and Nguyen Phuong Anh, class 6/1, Ba Tri Town Secondary School, Ba Tri District, Ben Tre Province with prizes including Certificates of Merit from the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, a summer camp in Vietnam for students and parents worth 70 million VND and cash of 5 million VND.
The Organizing Committee also awarded Encouragement Prizes to the remaining 14/20 students with prizes including a Certificate from the Program Organizing Committee, an IELTS English study voucher worth 8 million VND and cash worth 5 million VND.
The Organizing Committee awarded the Prodigy Prize to 20 students who entered the Final Round with a 12-month English course worth 12 million VND and cash worth 2 million VND; awarded 1 Voting Prize with the prize including a summer camp in Vietnam for students and parents worth 70 million VND and cash worth 5 million VND.
In addition, the Organizing Committee of the playground also awarded certificates to the 10 provinces with the largest number of contestants participating in the playground; the 10 schools with the largest number of contestants participating and the 10 schools with the largest number of contestants taking the English proficiency test.
