The project to restructure military enterprises for the period 2021 - 2025 has been approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 66/QD-TTg dated June 21, 2024, with the goal of reorganizing, streamlining, and rationalizing the structure of military enterprises. Under the direction of the Head of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff, in the past time, the Department of Economics of the Ministry of National Defense has chaired and coordinated with relevant agencies and units to develop a Plan, related documents and consult with agencies and units. Accordingly, the reorganization of military enterprises will be divided into stages and pilot mergers will be implemented first in a number of enterprises. After that, a summary will be conducted, lessons learned, and the merger of the remaining enterprises will be implemented. Concluding the meeting, Senior General Phan Van Giang emphasized that the reorganization and innovation of military enterprises is an important task in the current situation; he requested the General Staff and relevant agencies and units to continue to proactively coordinate and implement the Project to ensure progress, suitability and practicality.
General Phan Van Giang said that restructuring, innovating and improving the efficiency of military enterprises is a difficult and complicated task, because it involves the staffing, organization, regime, policies, ideology and feelings of many people. Therefore, agencies and units need to proactively do a good job of propaganda, political education, and ideological orientation for cadres, soldiers and workers; conduct meetings and democratic dialogues with dissolved and merged enterprises to grasp the ideological situation, thoughts, aspirations, recommendations and proposals of cadres, employees, soldiers and workers, as well as difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing dissolution and merger to propose effective and practical solutions. Coordinate to properly resolve regimes and policies for military personnel and defense workers in accordance with regulations; At the same time, conduct inventory and inspection of technical materials, facilities, warehouses, barracks, assets, etc., organize handover and reception closely to avoid loss and waste.
