The Endoscopy Department, Thong Nhat General Hospital has just deployed magnified dye endoscopy technique on the modern Olympus 190 system to detect early esophageal and stomach cancer in patients.

With this new technique, the esophageal and gastric mucosa will be stained and the image will be magnified, helping doctors clearly observe the surface microstructure and blood vessels, thereby improving the ability to diagnose accurately, intervene early, and limit serious complications.

In addition, doctors of the Endoscopy Department are also practicing endoscopic mucosal resection (ESD) on a pig stomach model, gradually mastering minimally invasive intervention techniques, thoroughly treating early-stage suspected cancer lesions without open surgery.
