Investment from the State

In the 2025-2026 school year, one of the key tasks emphasized by the Ministry of Education and Training is to improve the efficiency of using the State budget, mobilize investment resources to strengthen facilities and improve the quality of education and training. Based on that direction, each locality must consider this one of the top priorities in the operation process.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Thuan - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of An Khanh commune ( Hanoi ), in the 2025 - 2030 term, the locality strives to invest in building new and replacing 11 public schools, fundamentally solving the shortage of schools, by the end of the term, 100% of schools will meet national standards; implementing a policy to support boarding meals for students to ensure physical health and improve the quality of study.

In An Khanh commune, Hoai Duc B High School is in the process of constructing and completing a new school building, invested by the Hoai Duc District Construction Investment Project Management Board (formerly). According to Principal Nguyen Ky Nam, thanks to the attention of local leaders, the investment in school facilities has been promoted in a synchronous and modern direction to meet the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu An - Principal of Ngo Thi Nham Kindergarten (Ha Dong, Hanoi) said that in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the school has 20 classes and 740 children attending. The school has submitted a report to the People's Committee of Ha Dong Ward on upgrading facilities and adding equipment to serve children's teaching and learning. Currently, some of the school's facilities have degraded, lacking modern toys and equipment to meet the needs of educational innovation.

The school requested to repaint the walls, re-plaster, waterproof and replace blistered floor tiles in some areas; replace damaged sanitary equipment, add stainless steel handrails on the stairs going down for children, renew the mobile roof of the playground, repaint the iron gate/iron flower with anti-rust paint, replace/add fire extinguishers and fire sprinkler systems.

“We want to add air conditioning systems to all classrooms, functional rooms, administrative areas, medical areas, auditoriums, offices, etc.; increase modern equipment, toys and utensils according to the Montessori and STEAM methods. The kitchen area needs to purchase more meat grinders, vegetable and fruit slicers, towel steamers and dryers; add rice bowls and large food bowls. The medical department needs to issue more medical equipment and medicines according to regulations; add printers/photocopiers to the office,” Ms. Thu An added.

Join hands from society

At Kim Boi Primary and Secondary School (Kim Boi, Phu Tho), Principal Nguyen Van Hoang said that the school has reviewed the current facilities and equipment that can still be used well to continue using in the 2025-2026 school year. Missing equipment is listed, such as: desks, chairs, chemicals, consumables, to propose additional purchases to serve teaching and learning.

Regarding the renovation items, Mr. Hoang shared: The school coordinated with the Parents' Representative Committee to socialize small projects such as: Pouring concrete for the waiting room for parents to pick up their children, repairing the multi-purpose house floor, making safety railings for students, purchasing additional televisions for classrooms and received a very high consensus to implement effectively and in accordance with regulations.

At the same time, the school organizes training for teachers to use knowledge testing software proficiently to innovate testing and student assessment, contributing to improving the quality of education. This is also one of the important tasks and is regularly deployed before each school year to strengthen the quality of the team.

From the local reality, Mr. Ha Van Hai - Principal of My Tho High School (Phong Doanh, Ninh Binh) said that the school is located in a purely agricultural area, with many socio-economic difficulties, and improving facilities is always a big challenge. However, the school identifies this as a key task, requiring synchronous participation from many sides.

The school receives attention and support from local authorities as well as the education sector. Although the state budget is limited, it still ensures essential items such as basic repairs, classroom maintenance, and purchase of minimum teaching equipment. The school's staff and teachers are always dedicated and devoted to overcoming difficult conditions, proactively connecting and calling for social resources.

However, Mr. Hai acknowledged that mobilizing resources in rural areas like Phong Doanh commune is not easy. The local economy is not strong, most parents work in agriculture, and have low incomes, so the socialization of on-site education is very limited. In addition, the school also lacks a legal basis and specific incentive policies to call on businesses, alumni or organizations for long-term support.

Located in an area with a relatively high socio-economic level of Hanoi, Ms. Trinh Thi Chung Thuy - Principal of Nam Trung Yen Primary School (Yen Hoa Ward) informed that thanks to the investment attention of the locality, the school's infrastructure system is synchronous and modern, meeting the requirements of the new educational program, creating the best conditions for students to develop comprehensively.

To create more space for students, the school has just renovated the nearly 500 m2 garden space into an outdoor "Art Garden" area with many attractive musical equipment. The murals are also vividly painted by school teachers. Thanks to the cooperation of philanthropists, teachers and some units, the project has been inaugurated to go into operation from the 2025 - 2026 school year.

“We hope that in the coming time, there will be more flexible policies so that schools can have better access to non-budgetary resources. The school is committed to using every penny of supported funding effectively, for the right purpose, for the right target to bring the best learning environment for students,” said Mr. Ha Van Hai - Principal of My Tho High School (Phong Doanh, Ninh Binh).
