On August 31st, the Dong Nai Provincial Police announced that they had coordinated with the Criminal Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) to launch a special operation arresting 15 individuals for investigation into the following offenses: human trafficking, using minors under 16 years of age for obscene and lewd purposes, and illegal trading of bank accounts.
The ringleaders were Nguyen Ngoc Duy (28 years old, residing in Dong Nai province), Huynh Ngoc Thuan (26 years old, from Tien Giang province), Nguyen Xuan Viet (30 years old, from Ho Chi Minh City), and Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (31 years old, residing in Dong Nai province).
In August 2024, the Criminal Police Department of Dong Nai Provincial Police discovered a group of individuals involved in human trafficking, using children under 16 years old for pornographic purposes, operating very sophisticatedly and hiding behind licensed businesses.
Subsequently, the Dong Nai Provincial Police, in coordination with Department 5 of the Criminal Police Bureau, Ho Chi Minh City Police, and Long An Provincial Police, simultaneously deployed investigation teams in Bien Hoa City, Trang Bom District (Dong Nai Province), Ho Chi Minh City, and Long An Province.
At the NG massage parlor in Tan Mai ward, Bien Hoa city, police arrested Duy, Thuan, Viet, and Ha for using minors under 16 years old for pornographic purposes and trafficking minors under 16 years old; they also arrested one suspect for committing indecent acts with a female employee under 16 years old.
Simultaneously, authorities arrested 10 individuals involved in the illegal buying and selling of bank accounts, led by Nguyen Xuan Viet and Le Thi Lanh (35 years old, residing in Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province), and seized numerous items related to the suspects' criminal activities.
