Summoned male parent who stormed into classroom, grabbed hair, and hit teacher on the head

On April 29, speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Le Anh Nga, Chairman of Tan Thang Commune People's Committee (Quynh Luu District, Nghe An Province) said that the Commune Police had summoned the male parent Ha Van Thuy (born in 1985, residing in Tan Thang Commune) - the person who stormed into the classroom, grabbed the hair, and assaulted the teacher in an incident that is causing public outrage.

"As soon as we received the information, the commune leaders directed the police to directly investigate and handle the case. Currently, the police have summoned Mr. Ha Van Thuy for questioning. The police are consolidating the case file and handling the case according to regulations," said Mr. Nga.

Mr. Ho Trung Thanh, Principal of Tan Thang Primary and Secondary School, said that the person beaten by the male parent was teacher Nguyen Thi Kim Nam, homeroom teacher of combined class 3 and 4.

According to Mr. Thanh, the cause came from the fact that Ha Van Thuy's parent was drunk and stormed into the classroom to beat the teacher.

"Mr. Thuy has a child studying at the school, where Ms. Nam is the head teacher. At the time of the incident, Mr. Thuy had been drinking and could not control his actions. Before that, there was no conflict between the parents and the female teacher. The teacher also confirmed that she did not hit the student to lead to the above incident," said Mr. Thanh.

According to the Principal of Tan Thang Primary and Secondary School: The police are collecting statements and witnesses. After the incident, the next day, Ms. Nam still went to class as usual.

According to the school report, at around 4:30 p.m. on April 28, Mr. Ha Van Thuy went to the Bac Thang area school, Tan Thang Primary and Secondary School to pick up his child after school. There, the parent chased and beat teacher Luc Xuan Hoa and teacher Nguyen Thi Kim Nam. At that time, due to heavy rain, about 25 students and 2 teachers had not returned home.

The incident happened in front of many teachers and students, causing confusion, fear, and affecting the security and order of the school.

According to the leaders of Tan Thang Primary and Secondary School, the school has sent a report to Tan Thang Commune Police (Quynh Luu District) and requested the Police to investigate and strictly handle the case according to the law.

Authorities in Quynh Luu district (Nghe An province) are investigating a male parent who stormed into the school, grabbed the teacher's hair, beat her, and forced her to stand in the rain.
