Son La Prison and Con Dao Prison – two prisons of the colonial and imperialist regimes were built at two ends of our country, one in the mountains and forests of the Northwest, the other in the islands of the South. Two geographically distant places but sharing a painful yet heroic history. Here, the colonialists and imperialists used the most barbaric tricks to suppress the revolutionary will and extinguish the struggle movement of our people, but they failed before the indomitable spirit of the outstanding children of the Fatherland.
The exhibition displays nearly 300 typical documents and images of historical value collected from all over the country, along with the investment of effort and intelligence of professional staff who have painstakingly researched, designed, and displayed to convey the deepest message of the exhibition to the public. The documents on display are vivid evidence of the crimes of the enemy and the immortal heroic epic of the Vietnamese spirit, recreating the tragic pages of history, and at the same time, serving as a bridge between the past and the present.
Within the framework of the exhibition, there are alsoeducational activities to learn about history and a creative space for children.
