AHA Center brings relief goods to Da Nang to help flood victims

On November 12, the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) said that Da Nang International Airport had 3 flights landing, delivering aid goods from the ASEAN Coordinating Center for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Center) to people affected by the recent rain and floods in Da Nang.

Accordingly, the total amount of aid goods from the AHA Center includes: 3,648 essential household kits, 1,999 kitchenware kits and 3,000 personal hygiene kits with an estimated value of more than 264,000 USD (about 6.95 billion VND).

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City is the unit that receives the above goods and will deliver them to people in localities affected by the rain and floods in late October and early November.

The recent prolonged floods caused serious damage in Da Nang City with 12 people dead, 4 missing, 47 injured; material damage of more than 837 billion VND.
