What are the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training?

According to regulations from the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates admitted in the first round need to complete two steps to officially become new university students.

• Step 1 is to confirm your online enrollment by 5 PM on August 27th on the Ministry of Education and Training's high school graduation exam management system (https://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn/). Successful candidates must complete this enrollment confirmation step. After the deadline, candidates who do not confirm their enrollment will be considered to have declined admission to the school. If admitted but not confirming enrollment, candidates may continue to participate in the supplementary admission round.
• Step 2: After confirming enrollment on the Ministry of Education and Training's system, candidates proceed with the enrollment procedures at the university. The time and method of enrollment will vary according to each university's regulations. However, information from the Ministry of Education and Training indicates that universities are not allowed to end the enrollment period earlier than the Ministry's deadline because candidates need time to think and make a final confirmation.

Immediately after the announcement of the admission scores, universities began the process of receiving students for enrollment. Many universities announced that the deadline for new students to complete enrollment procedures was 5 PM on August 27th, including: Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, etc.

Meanwhile, some universities initially stipulated an earlier deadline for students to register for admission than 5 PM on August 27th. These universities have since made adjustments.

The International University has announced a new schedule for enrollment procedures.

This afternoon (August 23), the International University (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) issued a new announcement regarding the procedures for confirming enrollment and submitting enrollment documents for candidates admitted to the university in 2024.

According to this new announcement, the university stipulates that the deadline for online enrollment confirmation on the Ministry of Education and Training's admissions system is before 5 PM on August 27th. The International University encourages candidates to confirm their enrollment online from August 19th to August 24th. For the enrollment procedure, the university encourages candidates to fill out information online on the university's admissions page before August 24th and to submit documents in person at the university from August 21st to 4 PM on August 24th.

The university's announcement also stated that after 5 PM on August 27th, candidates who did not confirm their enrollment online or had not completed their obligations to pay tuition and provisional fees would be considered to have declined enrollment. After August 27th, candidates who did not complete the enrollment procedures would be considered to have no intention of enrolling at the university, and their names would be removed from the list of admitted students as per regulations. Previously, according to the initial announcement, the International University stipulated a maximum time for candidates to complete enrollment confirmation and procedures before 4 PM on August 24th.

Therefore, according to this new announcement, the International University does not require candidates to complete the enrollment procedures before 4 PM on August 24th, but can do so until 5 PM on August 27th.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is still accepting student enrollment procedures until August 27th.

Candidates are completing enrollment procedures at the University of Technology (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) this year.

This year, the University of Technology (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City) is implementing a hybrid online and in-person process for student enrollment confirmation and application submission. In parallel with confirming enrollment through the Ministry of Education and Training's system, candidates must complete their online enrollment documents on the university's admissions portal by 5 PM on August 27th. According to the initial announcement, the university only had two days for candidates to submit paper documents in person: August 20th and 21st.

However, speaking to a reporter from Thanh Nien Newspaper this afternoon (August 23), Associate Professor Bui Hoai Thang, Head of the Training Department of the school, said that the school is still accepting new students for enrollment in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. For those enrolling after August 21, the school will arrange an English placement test on September 4.
