This afternoon (August 6), Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy issued a notice on considering additional points for candidates who have submitted additional international certificates in 2025 on the Ministry of Education and Training system.
The school has reviewed all data and will use all valid results and evidence available on the system to consider adding points to candidates. This data includes assessment results of ability, thinking, valid foreign language certificates...
Along with this announcement, Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy announced the list of 264 candidates who have added international certificates to be considered for extra points in university admissions in 2025. The specific list of candidates can be seen here .
Previously, on July 31, the Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy officially received full data on additional international certificates on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training. On August 1, the school announced the verification of international certificates in 2025 submitted on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training. Specifically, 260 candidates need to provide evidence to authenticate international certificates. These are cases with international foreign language certificates and SAT results that meet the prescribed threshold to be awarded points according to method 2 of admission using the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam combined with international certificates.
Thus, in addition to the list of 1,744 candidates who submitted international certificates directly to the school to receive additional points for admission method 2, there are also 260 candidates who have added international certificates to be considered for additional points in admission to Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2025.
This announcement of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy is based on the official dispatch of the Ministry of Education and Training on reviewing data in preparation for virtual filtering of university and college admissions.
What does the Ministry of Education and Training's document say?
According to the official dispatch of the Ministry of Education and Training sent to training institutions to review data in preparation for filtering out fake university and college admissions, to ensure the system operates smoothly and effectively during the admission process, the Ministry of Education and Training requires training institutions to comply with the regulations of the University and College Admissions Regulations for Preschool Education .
Accordingly, in the first round of university and college admissions in 2025, training institutions will conduct admissions on the system in accordance with the regulations and general plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, using all results and evidence downloaded from the system (including high school graduation exam results, high school study results, assessment of capacity, thinking, valid foreign language certificates...) to consider the wishes that candidates have registered.
At the same time, review the announcement of regulations on the difference in scores between admission groups, the rules for converting equivalent admission scores closely following the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training, ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability to candidates, parents and state management agencies. Training institutions cannot download data and admission information from the system if they have not publicly announced the equivalent conversion of admission scores.
The Ministry of Education and Training also requires training institutions to re-examine sub-criteria and enrollment data over the years, determine appropriate virtual ratios during the enrollment process, and ensure that the number of enrollments does not exceed regulations.
