In which cases will all high school graduation exams be exempted in 2025?

The 2025 high school graduation exam is the first exam to implement the 2018 General Education Program, and is also the first exam to apply the new exam regulations issued by the Ministry of Education and Training . Candidates should pay attention to the new points, especially the regulations related to their rights, to compare and ensure compliance with the regulations and rights.

According to Circular No. 24/2024/TT-BGDDT promulgating regulations on high school graduation exams, there are 3 cases that are exempted from all high school graduation exams.

Firstly, candidates are summoned to participate in the national team selection exam to compete in the International Olympics or regional Olympics in cultural subjects.

Second, candidates in the team participate in international or regional Olympic competitions in science, technology, culture and arts.

Third, candidates are people with extremely severe disabilities and people with severe disabilities as prescribed in Decree No. 28/2012/ND-CP of the Government ; resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals with a labor capacity reduction of 61% or more; children of resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals, who themselves have a labor capacity reduction of 61% or more.

The high school graduation exam took place on June 26 and 27. According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, 1,165,289 candidates nationwide registered to take the exam.

Candidates should note that this year's exam has two types of test questions and two exam schedules for candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program and candidates studying the 2006 General Education Program.
