The University of Economics and Law will recruit students through three methods:

Method 1 involves direct admission and priority direct admission (maximum 20% of the total quota).

Method 2 involves admission based on the results of the 2025 National University of Ho Chi Minh City's aptitude test (approximately 40-60% of the total quota).

Method 3 involves admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam (approximately 30% - 50% of the total quota).

There are 4 subject combinations for admission, including: Mathematics - English - Literature; Mathematics - English - Physics; Mathematics - English - Informatics; Mathematics - English - Economics and Law Education .

According to Mr. Cu Xuan Tien, Head of Admissions and Student Affairs, the 2025 admissions plan was developed to select talented candidates, ensuring the quality of incoming students meets the training requirements and the stringent demands of the labor market.

In the event that the Ministry of Education and Training and the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City issue new admission regulations, the school will update and adjust its admission plan accordingly to the current regulations.

Prior to 2024, the University of Economics and Law offered 15 undergraduate programs, with 23 programs/specializations taught in Vietnamese and 8 programs/specializations taught in English. In addition, the university implemented two collaborative education programs with businesses: Financial Technology (Fintech) and Management Information Systems (MIS), and began enrolling students in new programs/specializations: Public Administration and Data Analytics.

The university received over 75,000 applications, a 10% increase compared to 2023. Admission scores in most majors also increased compared to the previous year.
