According to PTC3's report, storm KALMAEGI caused a number of incidents on power lines such as: phase B of the 220kV line 271 Nha Trang - 273 Krong Buk; phase C of the 220kV line 271 Quy Nhon - 271 Tuy Hoa; phase A of the 220kV line 273 Quy Nhon - 271 An Khe Hydropower Plant; phase B of the 220kV line 274 An Khe Hydropower Plant - 272 An Khe Hydropower Plant; phase B of the 220kV line 271 Cu Ne 1 Power Plant - 272 Iale 1 Power Plant and incident of phase A, busbar C11 at the 220kV Phuoc An transformer station.
By 11:43 a.m. on November 7, 2025, all affected lines and equipment had been restored to stable operation. As for the C11 busbar equipment at the Phuoc An 220kV Station, PTC3 immediately deployed replacement, expected to be completed within the day.
Currently, the storm circulation is still complicated, rain and floods continue to have the potential to affect and threaten the operation of the transmission grid. The Company's leaders and the PTC3 Command Board for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue have strongly directed the affiliated production teams to continue to closely monitor the scene, urgently deploy inspections and reviews after the storm: pier foundation locations with high risk of landslides or locations that have experienced landslides, power grid safety corridors, accessories of 500kV, 220kV power lines; 220kV, 500kV transformer station equipment; warehouses, headquarters, works...
At 220kV transformer stations: Quy Nhon, Phuoc An, Phu My, Tuy Hoa, Nha Trang... the mobile operation teams immediately inspected the entire equipment system, recorded operating parameters, checked the insulation status, lightning protection valves, busbars and control systems...
In particular, at Quy Nhon 220kV Station and Phuoc An 220kV Station - places directly affected by the storm, the on-duty force stayed up all night to check each control cabinet, measuring equipment, and treat stagnant water, ensuring absolute safety for equipment and people.
At the same time, the power line management and operation forces of Khanh Hoa , Gia Lai, and Dak Lak Power Transmission Teams simultaneously deployed to inspect along the line, using flycam equipment, combining with checking images from pole-mounted cameras, and simultaneously deploying troops to directly inspect vulnerable locations, intersections, and line corridors at risk of falling trees and landslides. From there, it helps to quickly detect abnormalities on the lines: 220kV Quy Nhon - Tuy Hoa, 220kV Quy Nhon - An Khe... supporting remote command and mobilizing human resources accurately and promptly to urgently complete the work of tying, reinforcing the foundation embankment system, grounding, restoring affected items and preparing a response plan for post-storm circulation.
Mr. Ho Cong - Deputy Director, Head of the Command Board of Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue PTC3 said: "In the face of the complicated developments of the storm circulation, the company requires units not to be subjective, continue to carefully review the positions of pillar foundations, power grid safety corridors, line accessories and station equipment. The spirit is urgent - accurate - safe, racing against time to ensure the power grid operates safely and stably before the weather turns bad".
At the same time, PTC3 leaders directed the Power Transmission teams to simultaneously review the housing situation of officers and employees in the affected areas. If there is any damage, promptly report it to the company for synthesis, consideration, support and encouragement to the families.
With a spirit of urgency, determination and high responsibility, all officers and employees of PTC3 are making efforts every hour and every minute to ensure uninterrupted power transmission, contributing to stabilizing production and people's lives in the Central region after the storm.
