Proud of the beautiful country of Vietnam

In the warm hearts of every Vietnamese person, at this important historical moment of the nation, there is a surge of emotion and pride when witnessing the country increasingly innovate, progressing to become rich and prosperous after 50 years of North - South reunification.

1. For many days now, people across the country, with their boundless love for their homeland and country, have turned towards the South, towards the city named after beloved Uncle Ho. This is where, exactly 50 years ago, the liberation flag flew over the roof of the Independence Palace, marking the glorious victory of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, reuniting the country. And today (April 30, 2025), on this historic site, people across the country have been able to recall one of the heroic pages of the Vietnamese nation's history.

Excitement and pride are the common feelings of the people of the whole country as well as those who were present at the grand ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of April 30, 2025. It is very precious that from the evening of April 29, reporters of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper recorded emotional images, when thousands of people gathered on the streets and areas where the grand ceremony was held - where the parade and marching forces passed by. It is also very natural that from the elderly to children, everyone was excited and eager to wait for the national ceremony.

At the place where the victory celebration took place, many people stayed up all night. They said they did not feel tired, even though some had to travel thousands of kilometers to come to the city named after Uncle Ho to attend the ceremony. It was not only the excitement for the big event, but above all, the love for the homeland and country, respect for historical values, and deep gratitude to our ancestors who shed so much blood to preserve the homeland's borders for today.

A forest of red flags. A sacred atmosphere on the great day. "As if Uncle Ho was here on the great victory day" echoed throughout the streets... Everything was so touching and proud of the beautiful country of Vietnam.

There was a sacred moment that spoke the hearts of the people. In the sound of the national anthem and 21 majestic cannon shots, under the bright and sacred red flag with yellow star, the delegates and all the people solemnly stood up to salute the flag. The emotional atmosphere moved many people to tears... The moment the flag-raising ceremony ended was a thunderous applause.

The strong and proud steps, the solemn and friendly looks, the military and police parades and the mass parades clearly demonstrated the ideals and belief in victory; the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam ; the strength of the great national unity. This is also the source and strength for our entire Party, people and army to successfully carry out the cause of building and firmly defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

A very meaningful thing is that on the routes where the parades and marches passed, the forces received enthusiastic cheers and encouragement from the people. They walked in the arms of the people. This is the image that most clearly reflects the relationship between the army and the people like fish and water, both in wartime and peacetime.

2. On the day of "The Country is Full of Joy", all over the country, people everywhere have ways to express their love for their homeland and country on the day of great victory.

At the historic Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi , early in the morning of April 30, 2025, the flag-raising ceremony and the National Anthem were held very solemnly. A very special morning. Thousands of people in the capital attended the sacred flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

When the melody of the “Marching Song” resounded majestically, in the sacred and emotional moment, everyone solemnly turned towards the fluttering national flag. In the hearts of every citizen present at the historic Ba Dinh Square, they all turned towards their beloved country and expressed their respect and remembrance of the great President Ho Chi Minh - the one who made our nation and our country proud.

On the country’s great holiday, the streets of the capital were decorated with flags, banners, and slogans about the historic victory of April 30, 1975. Everything was bright, exuding a solemn yet intimate atmosphere. Everyone was excited and proud of the beloved capital and the heroic country.

The heat radiates from thousands of patriotic hearts, from the red flag with yellow star - the belief and pride of the heroic Vietnamese people. On the great day, everyone has a wish for our country to be peaceful, our mountains and rivers to last forever. And "I love Vietnam" is the prominent keyword of the day of national reunification. A day when the sacred value of peace and national unity is a flame that burns forever in the heart of every Vietnamese child.

The heroic echoes of the 50th anniversary of national reunification have aroused pride, becoming a strong motivation for every Vietnamese person today to believe in the path that the Party, Uncle Ho and our people have chosen. From there, the whole nation joins hands, is determined to comprehensively promote the renovation process, the cause of industrialization and modernization, successfully realize the goal of "Rich people, strong country, democracy, equality, civilization", confidently entering a new era, the era of national development.

We will certainly continue to achieve even greater achievements, create miracles in the new era, the era of wealth, civilization, prosperity, and national development, building our country to be “more dignified and more beautiful”, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers as President Ho Chi Minh wished and the aspiration of the entire nation”.
