Ukrainian commander confirms Pokrovsk has not been lost, Mirnohrad is still fighting

General Syrskyi declared that Pokrovsk had not yet been captured, and that Myrnohrad was still being fought; while Russia believed that the end was near in Pokrovsk – Mirnograd.

Rybar channel reports that on the Pokrovsk - Mirnograd front, the operation to eliminate the entire Ukrainian garrison encircled in the Mirnograd urban area is gradually coming to an end. There are fewer and fewer Ukrainian soldiers left in the city, and to the north the front has continued to move.

However, the remnants of the Ukrainian garrison encircled in Myrnohrad continue to hope for a "relief" from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Syrsky, as promised. At the same time, some defending Ukrainian units are also considering options to break out on their own.
13.jpg
Currently, about 1,000 troops from the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade and the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) remain trapped in the city. These units are considered extremist in ideology and are often reluctant to surrender.
4.jpg
However, as the German press, citing an AFU soldier in Myrnohrad, reported, attempting to break out of the encirclement requires a solid logistical supply line, primarily ammunition supplies. Given the current urgent supply situation in Myrnohrad for the Ukrainian army, a successful “breakout” is extremely unlikely and objectively assessed, almost zero.
5.jpg
Meanwhile, after taking control of the southern part of Myrnohrad, units of the 51st Army, part of the Russian Army Group Center (RFAF), supported by tactical air forces, continued the offensive north of Myrnohrad.
2.jpg
The Ukrainian forces have now been pushed out of the most fortified areas of the Myrnohrad urban area. While in the past the AFU was still able to at least resupply the remnants of their forces trapped in Myrnohrad using heavy UAVs and ground robots, that is no longer the case.
11.gif
This is considered the price to pay for the AFU General Staff, fearing the media effect of losing two "fortresses" Pokrovsk and Mirnograd at the same time, when ordering the Mirnograd garrison to "defend to the death". The trapped Ukrainian soldiers were constantly subjected to raids with heavy FAB-3000 glide bombs.
5.jpg
Meanwhile, General Syrsky continued to deny reports that Myrnohrad was completely surrounded and Pokrovsk had fallen. According to him, Ukrainian troops are believed to still control some areas of Pokrovsk and maintain a corridor through which the Myrnohrad group can be fully supplied.

The RVvoenkory channel reported that Russian troops are regaining positions lost during AFU counterattacks on the northern flank. Several forest belts have returned to Russian control along the Suvorovo-Nikanorivka line, despite Ukrainian counterattacks from the Belitske bridgehead.
8.jpg
Information about the RFAF taking full control of the strategic town of Rodinske remains unconfirmed, although this possibility cannot be ruled out given the development of events on the front. This is especially true, as Russian units are advancing from Pokrovsk to the north and northwest.
4.jpg
On the western flank of the city, the battle for the village of Gryshine (Grishino) continues. The AFU had previously launched raids on Pokrovsk from this village, and the Ukrainian concentration there is still quite high. Once the RFAF takes control of Mirnograd, they will release a significant force to accelerate the offensive on the entire front.
12.jpg
Meanwhile, Kyiv government analytical sources have published their own version of the Donetsk map, according to which the RFAF not only failed to capture Pokrovsk, but did not even enter it. As for Myrnohrad, according to the “experts”, the city’s garrison is still continuing its “heroic defense”.
13.jpg
Most likely, it was this “document” that General Syrsky was referring to when he announced today that the AFU continues to hold positions in Pokrovsk, “The fighting continues, Ukrainian units continue to hold the northern part of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad will not surrender”.
14.jpg
What made General Syrsky feel “the need to speak up”, after many deputies of the country ’s parliament , demanded that the head of the Kiev government immediately dismiss the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, due to the failure in Pokrovsk and the encirclement of two brigades in Myrnohrad.
15.jpg
Zlatti71 channel reported that General Syrsky stated: "In the southwest of Pokrovsk, we are controlling and holding 13 square kilometers of area directly in the city. And this area is expanding every day. Regarding the information published by some German media that Russian troops have captured Pokrovsk, I can once again confirm with absolute confidence that this information is false."
17.jpg
But according to statements from Ukrainian soldiers and officers, they are seriously short of ammunition and food and are awaiting orders from the AFU General Staff to withdraw. However, sources in Kyiv said that President Zelensky refused to approve this action and declared a fight to the death in Pokrovsk. (photo source Topwar, Ukrinform, Rvvoenkory).
