Tung Duong is nostalgic with "The Voice - Timeless"

On the afternoon of November 5, in Ho Chi Minh City, Tung Duong introduced his new album Vol.1: The Voice - Timeless. The entire album was recorded entirely analog, as Tung Duong said, like recording for radio in the old days.

The Voice - Timeless is a collection of immortal love songs of Vietnamese music such as: Dau chan dia dang, Lu ta ngam ngui (Trinh Cong Son); Kiep nao co yeu nhau (Pham Duy - Minh Duc Hoai Trinh); Co don (Nguyen Anh 9); Noi long nguoi di (Anh Bang); Rieng mot goc troi (Ngo Thuy Mien); Mot minh (Lam Phuong). The special feature of the album is that it was recorded using analog technology, not using the current digital method.

In addition to musician Hong Kien, the album also brings together today's leading artists such as Thanh Vuong (piano), Trinh Minh Hien (violin), Doan Viet Dung (guitar), Hoang Hai Bang (bass), Le Minh Hieu (drums), Tran Hong Nhung (cello), Trung Dong (trumpet), and Saigon Strings. Musician Thanh Phuong is in charge of mixing and mastering.

“Regarding this product, I admit that there are still some imperfections. For example, there are notes that are a bit too fresh or too young, but I still decided not to apply digital effects. It is these imperfections that make me try harder in the next projects… Singing changes over the years and ups and downs are completely normal for artists. However, with each job, I never “give up halfway”, Tung Duong said.

According to Tung Duong, the album The Voice - Timeless will open the way for future musical products with the aim of preserving the quintessence of his voice and bringing immortal songs back to today's musical life in a new way but respecting the value of the past.

The music products in the series The Voice - Timeless will be released on audiophile formats, first vinyl, then possibly recordings.
